Ian and I have been house sitting since we sold our home in July 2019. We are able to provide Police Clearance Certificates and have references if required. You can also check out our reviews on this site.
Both of us are animal lovers and are happy to look after your pets as long as they are not aggressive. Most of our lives we have had either a cat or a dog and at times looked after other people's dogs in our home but right now we have no pets of our own. I enjoy walking so taking your dog with me would be no trouble at all. However, large dogs that are untrained for walking, can be a problem for me due to a shoulder injury so we don't generally take on larger dogs.
Although I am working full-time, Ian is not working right now and for the near future, so he would be home a lot with your pets.
We are pretty easy to get on with. Neither of us smoke, I never drink and Ian very rarely.
We will treat your home and your pets with the utmost care and leave your home clean for your return.
Please let us know what your pets are used to. For example whether or not they are allowed on your furniture and if they are used to sleeping inside or outside so we can try to maintain the boundaries that you have set. We have a couple of our own boundaries in relation to pets, and that is that we don't sleep with animals on the bed and we don't allow them on the kitchen benches.
Also we can't do house sits less than 4 weeks as I take a day off work at each house move, to pack up and make sure the house is cleaned and ready for your return.
Vivienne and Ian are a delightful couple. We came home to an immaculate home and garden. It was wonderful to be able to just unpack and resume every day living!! The house was spotless. We had great communication when we were away. They were able to deal with a leak in our laundry. Nothing was a bother for them. We would highly recommend them both for any further house sits.
Vivian and Ian were the perfect house sitters! They communicated and sent photos to us whilst we were away which was very reassuring. We came home to a spotless house and a healthy Kota! Even though there was no rainfall in over a month they still managed to keep our plants alive! They were so kind to have fresh milk, juice, fruit and vegetables waiting for us plus a box of chocolates and a thank you note!! Highly recommend them and will definitely have them back! Viv and Ian were totally trustworthy and looked after my home, plants and four legged friend while I was overseas. They were easy to communicate with and provided little updates. My home was beautiful and clean when I arrived back with a few treats awaiting me. They got on well with the neighbours too. I look forward to having them in my home again.
Viv & Ian were our house sitters for 2 months. We thoroughly endorse the comments made by other owners. Our house was spotless, they communicated a concern, our neighbours were impressed, and of course the chocolates. We would certainly like them to sit for us again if needed.

They contacted when they needed to and respond to our contact with them immediately They replaced fresh produce and products that they used and and used their own. We were so grateful to have Vivian and Ian look after our house and dogs! House was spotless and they were very forgiving with the dishes we left behind and other bits we didn't get a chance to take care of before we left! Vivian and Ian looked after our acreage home as it was their own. We were welcomed home to a well cared for garden and the house was impeccably clean, better than what I left it. It was lovely for them to provide milk, bread, fresh fruit and veg for us. The things you want after a long trip. There were a few issues with the pool and they didn't want to bother us while on holiday so Ian went ahead and managed this. Vivian and Ian house sat for us over Christmas and New Year for 3 weeks. This was our first house sitting experience and I could not recommend this couple more highly. Our three needy cats were loved and well looked after. Our house was spotless when we returned and even had a fruit platter welcoming us home. Vivian kept us well informed and sent photo updates of our cats. Our experience with Vivian and Ian exceeded our expectations
Many thanks to Vivian and Ian, for house sitting for us for 2 mths and looking after our fussy small dog. It was a pleasure to return home to a lovely tidy garden and sparkling clean house, groceries in the fridge, lovely home baked cake from Vivian. We appreciated the fact that Ian fixed a few things around the house for us and washed our car etc. Such a lovely couple and we highly recommend them.
