We are now retired from our careers and are active, happy, non-smoking Australian travellers. We spent most of 2018 in Europe before returning to Queensland and seeking further travel opportunities through house and pet sitting in our home country.

We pride ourselves on looking after our accommodation as if it were our own home. We're experienced in looking after pools, pumps and plants.

It would be our pleasure to care for your home and garden to give you a confident and worry-free time away.

But most of all we take excellent care of beloved pets. Since becoming house sitters we've been caring for many beloved pets - dogs, cats, birds and chooks - by following their owners' established routines and providing each pet with warm, dedicated care. We have also had experience in looking after cattle, ensuring their safety and water supplies.

We are adaptable but consistent, innovative but happy to follow your instructions, solution focused but we don't look for problems. We're a very practical couple in applying ourselves and getting things done.

And we look forward to house and pet sitting for you.

We were so lucky to have Doug & Teresa looking after our dog Charlie and taking care of our home while we were away for 2 weeks. They sent us regular photos of our dog Charlie and left the house sparkling clean when we arrived home. We couldn't have asked for better pet sitters & house sitters. They were really respectful, kind and easy to communicate with. We would not hesitate to have them back in our home again. We hghly recommend this lovely couple to anyone looking for sitters.

Teresa and Doug were excellent sitters. Our 5 pets were all happy and healthy when we arrived home. The house was clean and tidy and pots were all watered. We would highly recommend Teresa and Doug.

We highly recommend Teresa and Doug as housesitters. We connected through Aussiehousesitters.com.au. We live in far northern NSW and required housesitters to care for our elderly pets - a dog and a cat - (plus our daughter's two cats for part of the time!) and to maintain our home while we were living and travelling overseas. Teresa and Doug cared for our animals and home for 8 weeks, and during this time kept in weekly (often more) contact with us regarding the welfare of our animals ... MORE

Doug & Teresa house sat for us while we were overseas in Phuket. They looked after our Two Labradors and cared for the various Plants etc around the garden. The Labradors appeared settled and content in their presence at all times. The House and Garden were exactly as we left them in perfect condition. To Doug and Teressa the biggest thankyou ever. The main concern of ours was the care of Molly, our dog, and for her care, her grooming and your acceptance of her, your photos on the daily walks, actually she looked cleaner than she has in a while, thankyou. The house was well looked after and we came home to coffee and lunch, nice touch and so relaxing to catch up again. Definately recommend Doug and Teressa for any house sit.

Doug and Teresa are the perfect house sitters. They cared for our two cats and our house for a month. We kept in touch on a regular basis via email. (many photos of our beloved cats was very nice) They cared for the garden in extremely hot and dry conditions. We would recommend Doug and Teresa. We would have them sit for us anytime in the future. We had the pleasure of meeting and engaging Doug and Teresa for our house sit this year( Dec 2018). Our main concern for this period was for our wellbeing of our Border Collie Jazz, Doug and Teresa were nothing else but exceptional, We came home to find Jazz very happy and well look after, the house was well kept and nice and clean, mail collected and my plants all alive especially during some extreme heat. Teresa and Doug are a lovely caring and trustworthy couple who did an excellent job of looking after our property and our variety of animals - an 11 year old cat, aviary of birds and a couple of chooks. They kept up communication with us at all times when an issue with the cat arose. We certainly hope they are available when our next trip comes up. I would recommend this couple 100%.
