Two cool nice people

32, Science Technician

31, Freelance Event Technician

Kia Ora,

We are Saskia and Fluffy from New Zealand. We are moving to Melbourne in October and are keen to house/pet sit in different areas while we get used to the city and figure out where we want to live :)

We will both be house sitting in October, then for most of November Fluffy will be flying back to NZ for work until the end of the month.

Saskia loves all animals and most of the time prefers being around animals to humans! I grew up with two border collies and many cats, as well as riding horses. As an adult I worked on the canine team at the Auckland SPCA. From this I have experience in dog care, behavior, and training, as well basic vet care like giving pills, changing dressings or removing stitches. I'm confident with larger animals like horses and donkeys as I rode horses growing up and have worked with community groups that do horse riding therapy for disabled kids. I'm also a keen home gardener and used to work as a commercial landscape gardener, so if you have plants that need looking after I'm happy to do that :)

Fluff is a freelance multidisciplinary event technician which is a more complete way of saying audio/lighting tech/stage hand/music producer/gig setter-upper and taker-downer. Fluffy particularly likes small dogs and Burmese cats.

We both have experience petsitting for our friends, their animals include cats, dogs, puppies, chickens, bearded dragons and insects (food for the bearded dragons). We have also fostered animals like kittens and guinea pigs through the SPCA foster program.

We love and miss our rescue Burmese cat, Blue, who was a real character, always following us everywhere and yapping away. We both miss having a cat around so we are keen to spend some time with some (Sas in particular feels like life isn't complete without having a little pet friend).

We are pretty flexible at this point in regard to timing and location. We can provide references from people we have pet/house sat with before.

Thanks! :)
