Jan was absolutely fantastic!
She looked after my little cat LouLou and my apartment for a couple of weeks during Easter. We met a couple of times before so she could get to know LouLou who took an instant liking to Jan.
It was my first time having a house sitter and I didn’t know what to expect, but Jan put me at ease and gave me such a peace of mind during my time away, I cannot thank her enough!
Jan kept me updated with photos and emails throughout and left my place absolutely immaculate.
I can only highly recommend Jan and would love to give her 10 stars if I could :)

"We have nothing but good and positive things to say about Jan. She was absolutely wonderful in every way. We have 3 cats and were a little apprehensive as to how they would be with someone they hadn't met before. But from the photos that Jan sent us every couple of days, all 3 cats were very well cared for. We came home to a house that was way cleaner than we had left it and happy and relaxed cats. We found Jan to be very respectful of our home and belongings, reliable, capable and obviously an experienced housesitter. She was also very kind and caring towards our cats which was very important to us. Our vege garden and pool were well looked after too. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Jan as a house sitter and are hoping she can sit for us again in the future."

Jan is the Mary Poppins of house and dog sitting!! We received beautiful updates including photos every day, and came home to happy puppies, and a spotlessly tidy and organized house with our washing done!! Jan is a keeper and I would never hesitate to use her again in future.

I have had six months away and returned to a spotless apartment in immaculate condition. Above and beyond barely describes it. Jan even cleaned my bookshelves which I had procrastinated about doing for too long.
And resurrected an ailing pot plant!
She asked all the right questions when we first met and I was confident then.
She sent emails frequently with photographs of my snail mail, kept me informed of maintenance issues and even fixed the light fixture.

Jan was fantastic. Our house was cleaner when we got back that before we left and she took great care of everything. The plants also looked healthier and she kept us updated on our cat the whole time. I would highly recommend Jan.
Jan was everything we hoped for our 7 week sit. I was hesitant initially as a first timer but her reviews were proven accurate- good communication, good pet sitter, and the house was neat and tidy. We have recommended her to a friend.

We were very lucky to have Jan house and pet sit for us, as it was such short notice. Jan is a gem, she looked after our 2 cats with great care and affection and sent us lots of pics and email updates. Our house was in a lovely clean tidy state when we returned home. Jan is 5 stars all the way, and we have no hesitation recommending her to others. We would happily have her back at any time to sit for us if she's avalable.
Jan was very communicative with emails and photos of our 2 dogs while we were away, taking them for walks etc. The house was very clean and tidy when we returned with milk and eggs in the fridge to help us when we returned.
In spite of a small problem while Jan was in the house, she handled it perfectly and communicated with us on the issue.
Jan is the perfect house sitter. She is an excellent communicator and always sent me updates and photo's of my cat which were a true highlight to have and very happily received. My unit was super clean when I came home which is always appreciated after returning from a holiday. In fact ... it was cleaner than when I left! Jan was a very easy-going and communicative sitter. She looked after our two cats and three chickens very well and left the house in a beautiful state. The cats were very chilled out when we got home, not at all stressed from us being gone. We really appreciated the daily updates and photos, and they allowed us to relax and enjoy our time knowing everything was being looked after. Jan looked after our home and our two jack russels for three weeks in October and we couldn't be happier. She was absolutely wonderful. Jan house sat for us for a 4 week period recently and I cannot understate how much of a fantastic guest she was in our home. Not only was the house in a cleaner state than when we left but every effort was made to make sure that everything was taken care of and we didn't need to worry about anything. Jan is just wonderful , a lovely, warm, calm, caring, reliable, trustworthy angel. I have never used a house sitter before and was a little anxious about the process, but Jan knew exactly what she was doing which put me at ease. Her love for animals was instantly evident as soon as she met my dog and cat. We had Jan look after our house and two fur babies from the 7-13 Jan 2018. I can not express how wonderful she was. When we arrived home the house was impeccably presented and she had even organised some cupboards for me. The dogs were so happy in her care and very spoiled with walks, swims and lots of cuddles. Jan looked after our house and our cat from the from 19 Dec 2017 - 3 January 2018. Jan was amazing! She sent us email updates every day or 2 with photos on how everything was going. When we arrived home our place was immaculate and our cat was a very happy kitty, He definitely missed her when she left. I recently was fortunate enough to have Jan look after my fur babies & home just after the June long weekend. The weather was inclement & the pets would have been fretting. When I returned home my pets, & plants were flourishing & house immaculate. That is no exsaggeration. Jan has minded my home a few times & I cannot be happier & have more peace of mind when she is here. I read every reference before her first house sit & Jan was a standout.
We had Jan look after our house and our dog Ruby for 2 1/2 weeks. Jan was absolutely wonderful with our Ruby pampering her and taking her for one to two walks every day. We cannot recommend Jan enough. Although it was a short stay, Jan made us feel like we had been visited by Mary Poppins. She was an angel to our home and two hounds. We received regular photo updates from Jan about our dogs which made us know they were in good hands. Jan is a great Housesitter. She did such an amazing job looking after our place and our beloved indoor cat Lennox while we were away for 3 weeks. We came home to a really tidy house and a very happy kitty. Lennox was spoilt while we were away. Jan did a wonderful job for my housesit, looking after my dog Molly and my property. She informed me regularly as to Molly's wellbeing and I felt safe in the knowledge she was being well cared for in my absence. Jan is an excellent house sitter, she cared for my three cats and my house perfectly. I have two senior cats so I do worry about leaving them but Jan took the time to get to know the cats before I left and sent me regular updates and photos about them while I was away which took away all the worry and stress. We recently had Jan Lane housesitting and caring for our 2 Beagle dogs. Her conduct and care were exemplary. The dogs were extremely well cared for and very happy. We would like to highly recommend Jan to come and house sit. We were away for nearly 3 weeks and left Jan in our home with our two dogs.
What a great job Jan did , we came home to a cleaner house than I left, plus both dogs were so well looked after , she took both dogs for 2 walks a day. Our garden is well looked after, all alive and well kept as it didn't rain for the time we were away so Jan had her hands full watering plus walking both the dogs.

Jan cared for my two dogs for two weeks while I was away and they were very spoilt! Walked daily, played frisbee at least once daily, groomed and massaged. I think Bonnie and Andy were disappointed when I came home, life was very good! Jan also watered my pot plants and the house was immaculate. On top of that Jan checked on my elderly mother. I highly recommend Jan without any hesitation.
