Retired professional couple, animal lovers, ready to travel and care for your pets and home!
We are Pat and Bruce from Lake Macquarie area in New South Wales, Australia. We were both primary teachers and worked at the University of Newcastle for over 18 yrs. Both non-smokers, healthy, active and animal lovers. We have owned animals for many years, beagles and cats, so know how important it is to provide care and attention to your animals. Sadly both have passed away! We are house proud, own our place and understand the value of caring for homes, including pools and garden maintenance.
We have been house-sitting since 2014 in various places around Australia.; the Yarra Valley, the rural Eden Valley in South Australia, 75 acres with a flock of sheep, chooks and two Boston Terriers. A great experience and lots of fun!
Our housesitting has also taken us to Perth, Eskdale in the Mitta Mitta Valley, western Victoria near the Grampians and Port Wilunga on the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia. We also have regular sits in Hobart, my home town!
We have thoroughly enjoyed our various experiences and look forward to more sits. We ensure that we maintain communication with the owners and send regular updates on the animals and property. We are looking forward to travelling to many new places in Australia and giving excellent care to both your home and animals. We can provide you with a Police Check and references from previous Housesits.

Amazing! Our very big and boisterous dogs were spoilt rotten, we were regularly updated and didn't always felt that our home and pets were in the best hands. We came home to an impeccably clean house, happy dogs and some lovely food and new plants! I would recommend Pat and Bruce to anyone wanting a stress free holiday knowing that their home and pets are in the best hands!
Pat and Bruce were the perfect house sitters. They looked after the pets like they were their own. Kept us informed of what was happening . And we came back to a casserole and desert . Who could ask for more.
Could not have been happier to have Pat and Bruce house and catsit for us! On top of being lovely people, they left the house immaculate.
It was a great relief not to have to kennel our beloved cat Cleo and know that our house was in great hands while we holidayed up north. I would not hesitate to recommend Pat and Bruce to anyone looking for the same peace of mind. 12/10!
