SingleI am a born and raised farm-girl, and therefore familiar with most farm animals, horses specifically. That said, to be perfectly frank, I am currently a little "burnt out" with all the farm work/commitments over the last 2 years and am also looking for a break!! So my preference at the moment is for low maintenance house-sits that offer a bit more freedom. Alternately, I am happy to discuss an agreement for renumeration if you require a skilled individual to take care of your farm and animals at this time. While this may seem a little cheeky, but I DO bring a lot to the table... ;-)

I am a Canadian expat, an experienced house sitter who is currently traveling/living in Australia... embracing the opportunities as they unfold.
(NOTE summer 2023/24: I am currently settled in the Newcastle area and only accepting sits in this area at the moment.)
My work experience is varied and ranges from facility management to animal welfare) which has set me up perfectly to be a competent and reliable house, grounds and pet sitter during my travels!
Aside from my innate love of animals and the natural world, I am quite accustomed to troubleshooting and looking ahead; calm under pressure should anything unforeseen arise.
I am largely an introvert, so my home (and therefore yours!) is considered a quiet sanctuary, not a party space. My needs are simple: the basic comforts of a home and reliable wifi for remote work.
Willing to travel anywhere (**although see note above, re: location) for the right opportunity, especially if you have a unique situation to offer, as I love adventure and a good story!

Easy, breasy and stress free.
Wonderful having Johanna house and cat sit. We had a relaxing, stress free time away knowing Johanna had it all under control. Communication was perfect, it gave us so much joy to know Johanna and Manny got along well and the space was enjoyed. Johanna has a calm, easy going, friendly demeanour and is the no.1 professional house sitter. Grateful to have had Johanna, hope to see you again!
Johanna was just fantastic. She was in regular communication with us and sent us updates on how our pets were going. She was incredibly respectful of the house and our belongings and left the house beautifully. Would 1000% have her back again.
Make sure the garden and pot plants are thriving when you get back - get a house sitter.
