We are a couple of sporting fit sailors from Hervey Bay in Queensland. For the last few years we have been living between Thailand & Malaysia on our 40ft Yacht called "Sweet Surrender".
We left Hervey Bay on our sailing adventure in 2014.

We are fit and active and have both represented Queensland at Table Tennis at the National Championships. We are NON-SMOKERS and try to lead a healthy lifestyle.

We have now done numerous house sits in Australia & absolutely love it. We have both had police clearances and obtained our blue cards to enable us to coach table tennis to children. Sharon has had further police clearance to obtain her Australian Citizenship.

We both have cared for and loved animals and miss the love that pets can bestow on you.
Matti has owned 4 horses of his own & we have both loved/owned dogs & cats of our own over the years.
In the recent house sits that we have done, we have looked after Dogs, Cats, Horses, Sheep, Birds, Fish, Snakes & lots of Chickens.
We have also run a busy airbnb for a house owner whilst they were away on holiday for 5 weeks.

In his working days Matti was a Public Servant in the Northern Territory & acted as a Commissioner for Oaths.
He was also a registered Property Manager in NT & WA.
Sharon is originally from Leicester in the UK and was a Human Resourses/Personnel Officer with Office Depot.

We left our boat in SE Asia for 2 years and returned to OZ (2017-2018) we house sat for the whole two years & really enjoyed the change & spending more time in Australia.
We then flew back to Malaysia to our yacht in Jan 2019, did some more work & a bit of sailing on her. Back to Australia in July 2019 & did 6 months more house sitting in Werribee, Victoria. Then back to the boat to do more work & sailing.

More recently (April 2020) we arrived back in Australia, did our 2 weeks compulsory quarantine in a hotel, got automatically tested for Covid 19, both Negative & arrived back in Hervey Bay at the end of April 2020.

We then went to Melbourne & did a six month house sit there.

We have now sold the boat & are back & based in Hervey bay,
I (Sharon) is working in the bay & we are back house sitting at the moment, but only in Hervey bay due to working a split shift system.

We consider ourselves as tidy and organised people (you have to be when living on a boat) & respect other peoples privacy and property. We also consider ourselves as Honest and Trustworthy people who love animals and would be your perfect house sitters.

I entrusted Sharon and Matti with the care of my 3 cats and home for over 6 months.... I could not have been more happy with their sitting. What drew me too them during the shortlisting process was their pompt and clear communication, something which was to continue throughout the 6 month sit. Matti and Sharon looked after our home and our cat (Indy) while we were overseas for 3 weeks. We met with Matti and Sharon prior to the housesit and felt very comfortable leaving them to take care of our home. They are both very reliable and trustworthy sitters and took great care of our property and especially our spoilt pussycat. We received regular updates whilst we were away and we would highly recommend using them as housesitters.

How lucky were we to have Sharon and Matt look after our house and our two fur babies while we were away. Nothing was too much trouble for them, even when the hot water system broke and had to be replaced. They organised the installation of a new system without any problems while we were away. Their care and obvious love for animals was evident with every picture and video they sent us of our puppies. Matti and Sharon did an excellent job in taking are of our house, garden and pool. We would have no hesitation in having them house sit again in future and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for great house sitters.

It was wonderful to be able to go away and not worry about our home or our 2 precious pups. As it was our first time having house-sitters, we were very fortunate to meet with Sharon & Matti on more than one occasion before our trip as they were sitting locally. This helped to put our minds at ease knowing our dogs were now familiar with them. This is the second time that Matti and Sharon have minded my pets and house for me. They leave the house spotless, take care of my things and especially look after the dog and cat very well. They also send me pictures and updates of the furbabies when I am away, which are wonderful to receive. I highly recommend Matti and Sharon to anyone who is looking for honest, reliable and trustworthy housesitters.

No rating Cannot reccomend Sharon and Matti highly enough. They were wonderful to converse with and really looked after our house and our Daisy dog. They were easy to arrange with prior to the sit and left out house clean and tidy as if their own. Daisy dog really loved her time with Sharon and Matti and I could tell she misses them now. No rating I highly recommend Sharon and Matti for any house sitting assignment. They took excellent care of our dog and house. On our return from holidays we found a very clean house, and a happy and healthy dog. Sharon and Matti made sure they fully understood all as aspects of the house sitting task prior to our departure and provided us with a full debrief on how things went on our return. We are pretty sure that our dog was sad to see them go.
