  • Neither of us have worked on a farm before but I've owned and worked with horses all my adult life and many of the yards I've been to over the years have had a mixture of resident farm animals as well as horses, including donkeys, sheep, pigs & chickens. I have acquired a decent amount of knowledge of these animals through this and I believe, that both myself and Jon are responsible and mature enough to look after these types of farm animals without problem.

Hi, I'm Ashley and my husband is Jon. Last year we quit our jobs and sold our home to travel. We spent the first 8 months of our trip travelling around SE Asia and are now continuing our journey in Australia. Jon is currently studying an online Psychology degree and I'm just enjoying the ride. We can't wait to enjoy all the wonderful experiences Australia has to offer us, meeting lot's of new furry friends being one of them.

We met in 2009, bought and renovated our first home together in 2014 and got married in 2021. We are a sociable couple and enjoy meeting new people, visiting new places and being outdoors. We enjoy hiking, spending time in local parks, going to the beach and just exploring in general. We are both non smokers.

We are both caring, compassionate and responsible people with a passion for animal welfare. We both grew up around animals and together as adults we've supported local charities when we could, by fundraising and fostering in our own home.

We are still pretty new to Aussie House Sitters, but we are slowly building our profile with reviews.

We have no problem looking after active animals, older animals or those that have additional needs such as daily medication. The only animals that we don't have prior experience with is reptiles. We would still be willing to consider these depending on what was involved.

Ashley and Jon did a great job of looking after our pets and house. You can tell they are real animal lovers, which was very comforting. The house was also sparkling when we returned.

Ash and Jon have been amazing sitters and carers of our home and animals (7 cats!!!). From the beginning communication has been effortless and nothing was too much trouble. I appreciated that if they had questions they were comfortable to just ask and any "check ins" we made were promptly responded too...
