Sharon loves to House Sit
Hi, I'm Sharon, a corporate professional who is also a professional house and pet sitter.
I have house, dog, cat, fish and pool sat for friends and friends of friends over many years, deciding to 'turn pro' in March 2018. I rented a garage, set it up as a walk-in wardrobe and was fully embracing and completely loving the lifestyle that was house and pet sitting...until COVID-19 in March 2020.
After a two years hiatus renting in Sydney, I resumed my 'corporate gypsy lifestyle' in March 2022. Looking forward to being on 'permanent holidays' again living in and working from lovely homes...with the added bonus of furry, feathered or finned friends to hang out with.
For me, house sitting is a two-way relationship...well three or four when you include the pets. I believe it's important (if safe and possible) that everyone meets and establishes a relationship before the house sit commences. There needs to be a match...for everyone. The pet parents, the pet sitter and of course...the pets.
I am a Senior Manager with a financial services organisation and have been working from home since March 2020 and now working in the city office two days a week. I also have my own LinkedIn Profile Writing, Keynote Speaking and Executive Coaching side hustle.
I am a non-smoker and have my own car. WiFi is essential and off-street or undercover parking is always welcome.
In my free time, I 'typically' like to go for walks, hang out at art galleries, visit local beaches and produce markets, theatre and cinema, Netflix or other streaming series, op shop and enjoy eating out and supporting the local community in the new and interesting locations that my house sitting gigs take me...when safe to do so.

Sharon has been just a wonderful housesitter. She was flexible, transparent and open right from the start. She put a great deal of time and thought into making sure that my cat (who can be reluctant to accept strangers) was happy, comfortable and well cared for. Sharon sent photos every day which I always appreciated - many of which I have kept as they are beautiful!
The house was immaculate on my return.

Perfect partnership! Our first time using a housesitter and Sharon exceeded our expectations. She is an excellent communicator (both before & during the sit) and my Burmese cat Bailey gives her the lick of approval for cuddles and companionship.
The house was immaculate on our return (and the indoor plants were in better condition than when we left them). We are looking forward to hosting Sharon again when we are travelling. Highly recommended.

Sharon was absolutely amazing. We had 2 meets prior to the actual sit where I could see my cat children were comfortable with her.
While I was overseas, Sharon kept in contact with me and sent me regular picture updates of the cats including lots of snuggle pictures. The fact they snuggled with her allowed me to be comfortable that they were in good hands while I was away.

Our two mini dachshunds are prone to anxiety especially with new people but we were soon seeing photos coming through of them calm and curled up in her lap. Sharon was amazing! She was very friendly and kept up communication with us while we were away. We have rescue cats who are very shy and nervous around any visitors and Sharon (cat whisperer) managed to coax them out and get some cuddles from them.
