I (Bill) am a recently retired academic, (sociology and social history), migrating from Canada to Australia in 1970.
I am very fit and active, working out in the gym most days and going on long bike rides and hikes.
We live in our large Brisbane home, built 1886, and have often had house-sitters here so I know the process well from the home-owner's side.
I grew up on a dairy farm in Canada, and we have our own pets, so I am used to, and enjoy caring for dogs, cats and other animals.
I have house-sat for friends and via Aussie House-sitters many times and have good references.
I am a very responsible and reliable person.

Cannot fault Bill as a superb house sitter. We also were lucky enough for Isabell to join Bill on his sit and she was wonderful too. House beautifully left and our two dogs very well kept and happy. Lots of communication and Bill has a way with words that makes reading his correspondence a pleasure.
Bill and Isobell looked after Pepsi our dog, house and pot plants really well. Very reliable and friendly, with good communication before and through their stay. The house was really clean and lovely to walk in the door when we arrived home. Very easy to talk to and get to know. We were arriving extremely late at night, so they left milk and a few supplies in the fridge for us. Many thanks, and we recommend Bill and Isobell for any future housesitting they may apply for.
Bill was a great house sitter. Reliable, friendly, and very trustworthy. He took very good care of our cats and fish and the house was perfect when we got home. I would definitely ask Bill to come and house-sit for us again.
Bill and Isobel were a perfect fit for our cat. Bill made the effort to meet and chat before hand and arrive prior to my leaving. Although it was only 4 days he kept me updated. My house was clean and tidy, washing done ready for my return. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or to use again if they are available.

Bill was a wonderful housesitter. We got to chat on the phone before his stay and for a few hours in person before I left. He kept me updated on a daily basis with Magic, and left my place very clean and tidy. He brought all of his own bedsheets and linen. Bill took the time to come out and meet ourselves and our dog Hope before we left for our holiday, which was very much appreciated. He was kind and gentle with our dog which was important to us. Bill left our house & pool clean, watered a few plants and cared for our fur baby really well. Thankyou so much Bill!
Bill was great with communication! He updated me on the pets a couple of times too. Equipment he used was well looked after. Most importantly, when we got home, our cat and dog seemed very content and happy. Thanks heaps Bill!! You'd be welcome again.

Bill looked after our home on the Sunshine Coast for 2 weeks. He took fabulous care of our cat, garden and pool. Bill was great with communications the whole time and I felt totally relaxed and very grateful to have found him! Bill was an absolute pleasure to have looking after our home and cats, he was very easy to contact, and during his stay he also contacted us with his concerns about our "extremely shy cat" He came and met the cats before the stay which was so thoughtful.
