Lorraine & Tony

We are retired & have been travelling but before we retired we were working full time, I was a Corporate Receptionist & Tony was a Maintenance Fitter & we were a Home Stay family for 4 years, housing university students from overseas.

We owned our own home with a large garden for 30 years and had several pets over the 30 years.

We are honest, trustworthy, reliable, nonsmokers & after travelling in our caravan for many years we are now settled in Qld but still like to keep up our housesitting when we are able to do so.

We no longer have a caravan but parking for a 4x4 would be helpful.

Tony and Lorraine were kind enough to volunteer to look after our farm last November.

Their duties were mainly to keep an overall eye on the property and our resident helpers, to see that the animals were fed and the various chores attended to.

Their other responsibility was to make sure to assist if anyone needed transport or supplies.

When we returned the place was in good order, Tony had also helped with the mowing, which is a huge job in the spring.

They were kind and considerate and good company during the time we spent with them and we would heartily recommend them for any house sitting appointment.

Lorraine and Tony dog/ house sat for us from 29th April until 4th June 2015.

Finding caring sitters for our dog was more important to us than the
house/garden upkeep but they managed both beautifully. Our dog has Mast Cell Tumours and had had serious gastro problems just before we were due to fly. Her new diet needed to be strictly adhered to and this was done.

We had regular contact with Tony, who sent photos of our dog obviously looking very happy and enjoying the longer and more energetic walks than she was used to. I know she had more playtimes than we give her and loved it. On our return she looked slimmer and in better health than we'd left her.

The garden (5 acres) was tidy and the house tidy and clean. There waseven a welcome home gift, which was a lovely surprise.

We found Lorraine and Tony to be friendly, warm and honest. They
treated our dog lovingly and our property with respect.

We have no hesitation in highly recommending them to anyone.
Except at a time when we need them back!!

I had the pleasure of having Lorraine and Tony house sit for me for 3 weeks. I live on a sloping acreage block and I have I cat, 2 dogs and 2 miniature horses. I have gardens at the front of my property and also a bio-cycle garden to maintain, as well as yard and paddocks. The top priority was to look after my animals, keep my house clean and tidy, and finally maybe do some mowing if needed.

I was absolutely thrilled to see what Lorraine and Tony had accomplished when I returned. My animals were happy and spoilt. The dogs had been walked daily, they had been bathed, their bedding was washed. The cat (indoor cat) had fresh litter in her trays and she was looking very content. As for the horses they were thriving. Their stable was clean with fresh sawdust, feed tubs clean, fresh water and yard also clean. The horses were rotated in different paddocks every 2nd day, which is not always as easy as it sounds. My horses are stabled every evening so the stable is cleaned every morning. The horses are also fed in the stables morning and evening and are given a balanced diet. Lorraine and Tony excelled in doing this.

My gardens had been pruned and looked tidy. The yard mowed and the bio-cycle garden had been brush cut. The horse run had also been raked over, even my house had been washed on the outside. Inside the house it was clean and tidy also.

I have absolutely no problems in recommending Lorraine and Tony as excellent housesitters. They are a very honest, happy and reliable couple and I wish them all the best and safe travels.

Lorraine and Tony looked after our 4 bedroom home and maintained our 900 sq m block and our lovely gardens while we went traipsing around for 4 1/2 months in the summer of 2017.

Although we had only met them briefly prior to entrusting them with our wordly goods, we set off confident that our home was in good hands.

This confidence was more than justified, as Lorraine and Tony not only cared for our home as if it was their own, they kept in regular contact and photographed and forwarded our mail via emails.

When we retuuned, we were stunned on entering this immaculate home. Everything shone and was sparkling clean. The lawn and gardens looked lovely and our mowers, whippersnipper and edger were clean and well maintained.

They are an honest, wonderful cheerful couple who are more than obliging in every way. We have no hesitation in recommending them.

Lorraine and Tony are awesome housesitters. When we came back the house was very clean and tidy, our dogs loved them. And they looked well after our livestock. Tony even tidied up the garage and the lawn was done. Highly recommend them.

Lorraine and Tony were simply outstanding sitters. They are tremendous company, very trustworthy, and we are especially appreciative of how they looked after our dog whilst we were away. Gina is a very anxious dog and their knowledge of dogs and the care they took left us in no doubt she would be well cared for during our absence. These guys are highly recommended as sitters.

Lorraine and Tony are an awesome couple. I can't recommend them as housesitters enough! Communication prior to them coming was great and they called in to meet me a week before there sit started. Their attention to detail is awesome, they follow all instructions left for them and did extra little jobs around the house as well. We came home to a clean house, the sheets washed and bed remade. Which is awesome when you get home from a holiday as these are the last jobs you want to have to do!! I have 8 dogs so going away can be a nightmare so we were very thankful they were willing to come to the middle of nowhere and look after my dogs. They did an awesome job letting them off every day and feeding them correctly. From the moment I met them I felt at ease and knew I wouldn't need to worry while I was away. In the 3 years I've been shepherding this has been the best holiday I've had. I normally stress and worry about my dogs not being looked after properly but I didn't worry or feel like that at all knowing Tony and Lorraine would be doing a great job!! They also looked after my indoor pot plants and if it hadn't of rained so much I'm sure they would've done a great job watering my outdoor pots etc as well. I would have them housesit for me again in a heartbeat and I know Lace, York, Rowdy, Nova, Ted, Fig, Marley and Bear would as well!
