55, Pet Sitter
My whole family (even our ancestors!) are passionate animal lovers, it runs through our veins, we are the type of people who notice that bird on the side of the road that can't fly away for some reason, or a dog running around with no owner in sight and will stop to save it.
I've had many pets over the years, but after my Jack Russell Milo past away 5 years ago I was absolutely heartbroken, however the bright side to my grieving was that I decided that it was a good time to start a dog training, walking and pet sitting service for my locals in Newington NSW. We have lived here since 2004 and I'm well known for my animal care and plus my daughter (Mia 15yrs, photos of her are old as she won't let me take photos, lol) went to the local school, so of course we know a lot of locals/friends.
My daughter Mia and husband are the same when it comes to animals, it's just who we are naturally, we just love being around animals. During Covid 2020, people weren't allowed to travel, I suddenly had no work, so I decided to study to be a Nutritional Coach, Mia took over a couple of my clients when it started up again (because they know her kind loving nature towards animals) and still walks their dogs after school to this day. (Mia is 15yrs old now, photos need updating)
I'm a non smoker, keep a clean house and love gardening, I even plant out my council strip every year with pretty flowers.
My husband doesn't travel with us as he is a homebody plus has work commitments, so it's just Mia and I. We have a beautiful cat (Midna) that adopted us in 2020, she came here crying one night and never left since and I'm convinced she loves having my husband to herself when we go away, lol.
Also, our neighbours have shared their cavoodle Milly with us since she was a puppy, we are very lucky to have them and her in our life. I guess you might be getting a sense of who we are by now.
In the holidays Mia and I always go away on a pet sitting assignment (not for money, just confirming this because people have asked me if I charge for this service), you are welcome to call my neighbour, or my clients, or one of our recent housesits, for a reference for your peace of mind.
