RAND + DAYL
We arrived in Australia in May 2019 and will be staying for a year with work and holiday visas. Last year, we were in New Zealand house sitting, touring, working seasonally and wwoofing.
We are non-smokers, vegans, and we love all animals, especially dogs! We have enjoyed house/dog sitting for a dozen different families in New Zealand. Our record is looking after 34 animals in one sit!
We met in Austin, Texas, USA in 2016 during a green building volunteer program where we constructed tiny houses for the homeless population and renovated homes for low-income residents in the city. We both have a lot of hiking trail building and hiking trail maintenance work experience, having worked with conservation corps programs in the past.
Dayl has a Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Agriculture & Natural Building while Rand has a dual-major Bachelor's degree in Sociology & Psychology.
We love to live an active life full of the outdoors, recreation, and new experiences. We live in a quiet but adventuresome way, always working to balance a healthy and mindful lifestyle with fun and spontaneity. It has been exciting to escape ordinary American day-to-day society during our travels thus far. We are self-starters who require little supervision and don't mind being left to ourselves. We are a couple of curious and respectful people who love to work and travel together.
We look forward to meeting you!
