I'm a Senior Bio teacher working at a school in Brisbane CBD who has been house sitting full time since early 2018. Most of my sits are now repeat bookings with clients who are regularly away, or via word-of-mouth. I don't have my own place, instead I move sit-to-sit and this has been very successful. I've found it suits my personality/lifestyle as I enjoy the company of animals whilst doing my work, plus it has allowed me to meet some amazing people and stay in some fantastic places. Aside from travelling and attempting to stick pins in as many new places on my map as possible, I enjoy outdoor pursuits like hiking and horse riding.

I have house sat everything from dogs and cats to horses and cattle to lobsters (!) and frogs. Property wise, I have sat everything from small units to farms.

I grew up on a farm myself, with the usual mix of animals such as dogs, cats, cows, sheep and poultry. I also kept random pets throughout the years such as cockatiels and geckos. In addition, I'm a keen horse rider, agisting my own horse, so am very confident around horses.

I'm single, a non-smoker and I can provide a police check/teacher number/blue card, etc so you have peace of mind. I can also show you reviews from my airbnb account and my endorsements from previous sits so you can rest assured that your house and pets will be in good hands.

What can I say.....we have found the PERFECT house-sitter! Gemma was so friendly, funny and genuinely caring. We had no reservations about leaving our home, plants and furry friends with Gemma while we went on a mini break. Gemma provided updates daily and we could see that the kitties had clearly bonded with her! I feel guilty for not posting this sooner as Gemma was just an amazing sitter and a beautiful human. Gemma cared for our two kitties like they were her own and when I got home they were very chilled and happy. I'm quite sure my house was cleaner when I got back than before I left! It was a pleasure having Gemma house sit for us. When we returned the house was nice and clean. The pets were well looked after. Gemma communicated with us very well whilst on our 6 week holiday. She kept us up to date with how the pets were doing. I would recommend Gemma to anyone who requires a reliable housesitter.

Gemma was very easy to communicate with - kept me up to date with photos and texts on how my 2 cats were going, they were very relaxed and happy when I get back after a 2 week period. No rating We were truely blessed to have meet Gemma on this pet sitting website. From the moment we meet her for a coffee we felt at ease and she was the right person to look after our cat Patch while we were overseas. Gemma did a great job with Patch he was so well looked after and very happy with Gemma, our house was spotless upon our return from our holiday. We would happily recommend Gemma for any future pet sits she does in the future. What a lovely kind well natured lady.
