For a number of years I have been offered house-sitting positions, and I have references from these times.These are mainly from the Northern Rivers such as : Gold Coast, Byron Shire and Lismore to Yamba areas. I have lived in this area for 14 years. Previously I lived on the Sunshine Coast, and can include Brisbane in areas I am happy to travel to I am able to look after gardens and pot-plants, domestic animals, and the general business of the house.
I live a healthy quiet life.. I work
part time teaching gently exercise classes in Respite care.
Writing and study have been the main focus in recent years. I do not drink or smoke.
I like to care for cats and small, or peaceful dogs. I have also cared for mice, guinea-pigs, cockatiels, budgerigars, and fish.
I do not have my own van, so stay in. Prefer to be near town, but love to be surrounded by trees and gardens.

It is with pleasure that I write this letter of reference for Amber.
Amber undertook a period of 2 weeks caring for our pets and home.
Our dog Bruce, is a medium sized Kelpi cross and is close with our family spending a lot of time
with us in the house during the day and night. Amber was sensitive and embracing of Bruce and
was respectful of his place in our home and hearts. Amber proved to be a great companion for
our Bruce during this time, walking him twice a day and taking care of his needs.
Polly, our sometimes vocal, but loving juvenile cat was also taken great care of by Amber and she
was given the time and attention she demands.
Amber communicated openly and honestly with us throughout initial planning through to the end
of the housesit. Her attention to detail and foresight ensured that she was well prepared prior to
us leaving for our holiday. She arrived the evening prior to us departing, as arranged, and shared a
meal with our family which was a great way to get to know her and ensured she was comfortable
with the requirements.
Amber is a tidy and efficient person and during her stay she maintained our home to a high
standard. Her efforts in preparation for her departure were greatly appreciated; after a long
journey it was pleasant to return to a tidy home and fresh linen.
I found Amber to be a good communicator, honest, friendly, genuine, respectful, and responsible.
I highly recommend her as a house-sitter, petsitter, or garden sitter and she is more than capable
of ensuring your most beloved are well taken care of.
