I am a professional writer, animal lover and experienced housesitter.
I have been housesitting for few years now since returning from 2 years away in Central America working for an NGO.
I've cared for many animals - old and young cats and dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, chooks, tropical fish, sheep and llamas -shared the bed with some, given medication to others and fallen in love with many. I have also kept many plants and small gardens alive and well.
Housesitting has been a great and enjoyable way for me to relearn Melbourne and restore some savings after earning local wages overseas.
In my spare time I like to walk, ideally somewhere green and with furry company, practice Spanish, cook, meditate, and read fiction or about architecture.

Susanne looked after my pets ok, however there was a lack of communication and the house wasn't quite left the way it was found, a bit more attention to cleaning would have been appreaciated.
Susanne was a fabulous house and pet sitter and I have no hesitation in recommending her. My house was tidy, the garden watered and my pets had obviously been very well cared for. Susanne also kept me updated with pictures and communication was excellent. I would be very happy for Susanne to do return visits.
Susanne looked after my English staffie Ruby for 3 1/2 weeks whilst I was overseas. Susanne is a prompt and friendly communicator and it was a pleasure to meet her prior to locking in our sitting arrangement. We clicked and it was straightforward to ensure we were on the same page around care for Ruby and the house. Susanne was so incredible easy to deal with, right from the first conversation, (this was my first time with house-sitters), through the time we were away, and upon our return. She was so friendly, and happy to take time to meet us and Cosmo before we went away. While we were away we were totally confident that Cosmo was in good hands, as well as the house. Susanne was a perfect mature person to house and dog sit. My dog was happy and house clean and tidy, could not wished for better. I hope she can do this for me again in the future. I highly recommend her.
Recently Susanne looked after our home and cat for 14 days whilst we travelled interstate.
From the beginning, Susanne was responsive and a pleasure to deal with. She was flexible, reliable and happy to water the potted plants.

We used Susanne as a house sitter for a month in May 2018. We were very happy when we arrived home to see all four fish alive and well, the mail in neat piles, the indoor plant thriving and the house looking extremely neat and tidy
Susanne was a fantastic House Sitter who looked after our garden, home and Kelpie. I felt really comfortable leaving everything in Susanne's hands and when we got home Bea (the dog) had put on weight and was obviously very relaxed and happy. And the garden survived.
