65, School Teacher
66, Teacher Aide
My wife, Michiko and I, have been happily married for 41 years and have raised four beautiful children currently aged from 27-34 years. As a family we have lived in Australia, USA, Russia and the Solomon Islands whilst engaged in educational activities oftentimes in a voluntary capacity.
More specifically, since 1980, I, Paul, have worked in the roles of school teacher, lecturer, seminar facilitator and as a parent teen life coach. I am presently a permanent employee with Education Queensland and work full time as the physical education and well being support teacher at Aurukun State School in Far North Queensland since 2017.
My wife, Michiko, originally from Japan, has a background in child and aged care. However her greatest legacy is her devotion as a mother in taking care of our children full time in their formative years until completing high school. Currently she is employed as a teacher aide at Aurukun State School and has been in that role since 2017.
I, Paul, grew up with numerous pets (dogs, cats, aquarium fish, horses, guinea pigs, rabbits, sheep, birds and chickens). As the eldest son, I took upon myself to plant, weed, and nurture our family vegie patch, hedges and flower gardens. In addition, until I left home to go to university I mowed and took care of our lawns and washed our family car. Up until today I share domestic duties around our home with my wife.
In 2004 when we could finally settle as a family in Brisbane we acquired a dog, named Milo. He was a cross between a German Shepard and Border Collie. In September 2014, in prime health at 10 years and 2 months of age, he suddenly died due to a tick. It was not for a lack of care since Milo's health was closely monitored by our son Alex who graduated in 2016 as dux of the Vet School at the University of Queensland.
In addition, I, Paul, took Milo for daily walks and had numerous people admire him for his shiny coat, ideal weight and friendly happy disposition. Michiko was in charge of regular washing and grooming.
Whilst we are currently living in a rental property as part of our financial plan to build a property investment portfolio, we have bought and sold two family homes since 1997. We treated each home and every rental property with utmost love and respect. As I alluded to before, my parents raised me that way. I say that since should you entrust us to take care of your home/pets I can assure you that we would be looking after your property and pets as if they were our own.
We are both non smokers and usually opt for quiet nights at home.
We are flexible, adaptable and willing to accommodate to suit your needs. For your peace of mind, should you entrust us to look after your home/pets we are happy to be in communication with you as often as requested through phone or email while you are away.
The school Principal of our school where we work is happy to be a referee for us. Please ask for her contact details.
Kind regards,
Paul and Michiko
