Hi I'm Paul, now retired after finishing my career as a Town Planner working in Local Government. My wife Janet is also recently retired after working with children with special needs for 22 years.
We own our home and have lived on the beautiful Sunshine Coast for 22 years after living in Melbourne, however we love to travel and experience new places! Our 3 children have grown up and have moved on to live in other parts of Australia.

We have had 2 dogs, a Cocker spaniel (Bella) and an Australian terrier (Ziggy). Bella lived to 13 and Ziggy to 11. Ziggy only passed away in late 2018. We both shared the doggy duties of daily walks, feeding and medication. We also had a cat (Maisie) who lived to the good old age of 21.

We like house sitting as it provides us the opportunity to care for and have the company of animals and to help home owners have the peace of mind that their pets are well cared for while they are away.

We have undertaken many house sits in the past few years in different parts of Australia. which have involved the care of dogs, cats, chickens, birds and other furry friends.

Your home will be well looked after as we are house and garden proud and understand what is required to take care of your home, garden and beloved pets.

Also we ourselves have used house sitters to look after our home and pets at one stage. Therefore we believe that we have a good understanding of the house sitting role first hand. .

We are both non-smokers. References and Police Check can be supplied upon request.

Janet and Paul looked after our pets and house really well and unfortunately they had to face terrible bush fire while they were at our place, in-spite that horrific experience they looked after our pets really well and managed some how to contact us, update everything happening down there, That was really stressful experience for all of us and we have no words to thank (Thank you is not enough) both Janet and Paul for great work they did for us. Paul and Janet looked after my apartment and pet cat Antonius for 10 days from December 2023-January 2024. Antonius was well looked after throughout the time my partner and I were away, and we recevied regular updates from Paul and Janet during our trip which as very reassuring. Upon our return we found our apartment clean, tidy and as we had left it prior to our trip We can't recommend Paul and Janet highly enough to anyone looking for reliable housesitters in 2024!

Janet and Paul looked after my house and ageing dachshund, Basil, while I was overseas for 10 days. They communicated well from the start and sent me reassuring updates and photos while I was away. Janet and Paul are friendly, responsible and respectful. Basil was very relaxed when I got home and, I think, misses them, the traitor! It was also a great pleasure to return to a spotless house. Thanks Janet and Paul, I'd have you back any day!

Janet and Paul were great. They were very easy to communicate with and we're very understanding and flexible when plans had to change slightly at the last minute because of a cancellation due to COVID. The house was incredibly clean, the plants were well watered and most importantly, our cat Penny was relaxed and happy when we returned. Would recommend Janet and Paul and would happily work with them again.

We had Paul and Janet house sit for us whilst away. We would have them back in a heartbeat to look after our house and animals. The house was left in great condition and we are grateful for that. All of our animals were well looked after and happy when we returned home. Communication between us was prompt and very casual which makes things so much easier. The best thing I can say is this: we would have both Janet and Paul house sit for us anytime.

Because of this, we only liaised with Paul to organise the sit. Paul was very attentive when he came to meet our cat and learn the ropes of our older style house.
