Active, healthy, non smoking couple - social drinkers only - aged 72. We have been house sitting for over 10 years and cared for more than 80 homes with numerous pets and animals . Self employed prior to retiring with a background in family farming followed by tourism when we owned and ran holiday accommodation for ten years in North East Victoria. Our business consisted of 10 cottages and 3 acres of grounds all of which we personally maintained. Wide interests including interior decorating, gardening, reading, music, natural history, bush walking, travel,sport and how life ticks in general! Now we are retired we are enjoying seeing more of our great country and would love to come to your area and would consider it a privilege to care for your home and pets.
What we offer: Lifelong experience with, and love of, all animals. We have always had a variety of pets as well as caring for our farm animals. Happy to care for your garden as well as pets. Experienced in general repairs and maintenance if the necessity arises. Having always owned our own home (except for renting for 15 months following the sale of our business and whilst considering our options), we understand the importance of having someone trustworthy and reliable to care for and maintain your home. Police clearances and references available.

We cannot thank Toots and Ross enough! We are so grateful to have found them, they were the perfect solution to being able to leave our house & our beloved little Jack Russel Cross, Ruby for our holiday. Toots & Ross came and stayed at our home and looked after our furbaby for a week. They took our pooch on many walks, sending us photos and cared for him like their own. They were very respectful with our home, and took great care. They left our home in an immaculate state, and we also had dinner waiting for us on our return. Very highly recommended, and would love to have you back again!

We came back to a lovely clean home & a yummy soup & rolls waiting for us when we can back from a long day travelling. Toots & Ross were quick to reply back to messages I sent & our fur babies were well looked after. We didn't get to say good bye as they were required on another sit! They were very professional & took their job seriously, keeping home, garden & pets happy. Thx Toots & Ross.

Ross and Toots were fantastic! We felt at ease when we met them both and knew straight away that our home etc would be looked after. We can't recommend them enough as house sitters. The house was spotless when we returned and because they knew we had a "red eye" flight they made us a big batch of pumpkin soup and fresh bread. Very appreciative of that one guys!. We hope to have them housesit for us sometime soon. Maybe next time we will have some pets (fish) to look after.

Their warm, friendly manner along with their experience made me feel very confident that they would look after my home and cat. It was such a relief to have Toots and Ross looking after our pets and home. We are very grateful for their friendliness and attention toward our animals. Our home was handed back to us well cared for but we knew before we drove away that we were in good hands. It was a pleasure to meet Toots and Ross.

This was our first house-sitting experience, and we were incredibly grateful Toots and Ross were free. A lovely couple, who looked after the house as if it were their own. They went above and beyond what we expected. We came home to a happy cat and a sparkling clean house. I thank them for making our first house-sit such a positive and stress-free experience.

I cannot complement Ross and Toots enough for their care and attention during their 3 week stay.. The house was immaculate on my return. Even the cupboards and cutlery drawers had been cleaned, and most particularly the tiles on the verandah were scrubbed like new, which is a job I had been putting off for some time. The main reason I use sitters is to care for my two dogs, and the photos Ross and Toots sent me during their stay showed that the dogs had bonded so well with them. Thanks Ross ... MORE

Toots and Ross took care of our home for five weeks during May and June 2017 and the process was easy right from the start. During those five weeks they kept our two cats comfortable and relaxed, ensured that we were given a weekly update, advised us of any mail that required attention and kept the house and garden tidy. No rating These sitters were so wonderful we feel we need to go away again to have them back! Everything was so well cared for, all the animals were very contented and well groomed, and to come back to more animals than we left,(chickens and ducklings) was an added bonus. The gardens were well maintained and the house was spotless. I do hope we can keep in touch with this lovely couple.
