Hello ...I am very enthusiastic about house/pet sitting and have been privileged to have thoroughly enjoyed several house sits in the past three years. I grew up on a mixed farm In the mid north of SA, approx 140 kms north of Adelaide,so am also well acquainted with caring for a variety of animals including dogs, cats, poultry, birds and stock on farms. I love the company of dogs in particular.
I can be trusted to keep things in a tidy, clean order and follow any particular instructions that keep the home and garden/acreage as intended by owners. I make it my business to treat all aspects respectfully.
I retired five years ago from my School Principal position. I am used to working closely with a wide variety of people. I am fit, do yoga & dance, definitely a non-smoker. I love to walk on the beach and on bush tracks/walks.
I often take my adult children's cocker spaniel for walks everywhere and love his company.
I also enjoy swimming and fishing.I am also interested in the environment, particularly sustainability.
As travelling is of particular interest to me, whether in Aus or overseas, I enjoy exploring this further through house sitting, particularly in NSW, especially Sydney eastern environs where I have family living and South Coast.
I believe in prompt and honest communication, enjoy meeting new people and checking out new communities.
From my reviews on Air BnB, I have high recommendations on my stays for 'spotless care' of places, quick contact and very approachable and friendly style. I have done a few house sits, obliged with wishes of owner and had great experiences.
My Aussie House Sitter reviews reveal that people have been pleased with the way I look after their pets and homes. I make the most out of every house sit to enjoy the surrounds.
You can be assured that I would treat your property, pets and surrounds with great care, as if it were my own.
I enjoy home cooking and eating out, good wine, going to the theatre, movies and listening to many types of music, inc. jazz.
My interest and enthusiasm developed after speaking with a friend who is also a sitter with Aussie House Sitters and absolutely loves it.

No rating Maria came back to look after my flat and Wilma for a second time for a week while I went on holidays. Maria had lots of fun with Wilma introducing her to her family and looking after her extremely well. The flat was spotless on my return which made it very comfortable coming home from holidays. I really appreciate Maria's care and affection towards Wilma while I was away - knowing she was in safe hands made my holiday more enjoyable.

Maria was a great choice for our housesit. Friendly, easy to talk to and relaxed. We appreciated Maria meeting with us beforehand and how carefully she considered all of our needs. Sheba can be flighty after we have been away but she was very relaxed on our return. Our house was very tidy, our garden healthy and communication excellent. We thoroughly recommend Maria as a Housesitter.

Maria housesat for us for 3 nights recently and took care of our rather old dog RJ. Maria organised to visit our area before the sit so that we could meet her and show her the routines. We really appreciated that. We were thoroughly happy with the way our dog was cared for. he had short walks each day. He was really settled when we arrived home. Our home was well cared for too. Thank you Maria for housesitting for us.

Maria did such an amazing job! She is a gem! My kelpie who had been quite anxious in the months previous due to the loss of my other alpha dog was so happy and relaxed and smiling on my return! She walked her a lot and took her everywhere and obviously has a way with animals. Maria also had my house and newly planted garden ship shape and left too many kind and thoughtful touches to even mention which was so lovely to come home to with jet lag. No rating Maria is a lovely and communicative house sitter and best of all my dog loved her! The house and garden were all left in a tidy and pristine order. I highly recommend her for house and pet care!

No rating Maria came to look after my puppy Wilma for three weeks while I was away on holidays. She sent me regular updates on how she was going which was comforting to hear. Maria was able to organise any need for the puppy and kept her happy with long walks and lots of cuddles. On return my flat was spotless. Wilma was very well cared for by Maria and I could not recommend her more highly. I hope she is able to come back to mind Wilma in the future.

No rating We recently enjoyed a couple of weeks away with the peace of mind that our (originally) three large dogs, two horses and chooks were in the very capable hands of Maria and Grahem. We were regularly kept informed of happenings and arrived back to a very clean and tidy home, a nice load of split firewood and contented animals including the curve ball.
