Lisa

I am a mature and responsible professional woman, with a lifetime of experience taking care of dogs, cats, and other animals including fish, chickens, small farm animals and horses.

I grew up in the Dandenongs outside Melbourne with a big family of dogs, cats, and horses. I worked for a time as a veterinary assistant, so I am capable with giving medication, any extra care.

I am a responsible and capable carer of homes and gardens, including swimming pools, Australian native and vegetable gardens. I'm house-proud and tidy, and a great communicator - you will always know what is happening while you are away from home.

I have an Australian National Police Certificate (police check - date of issue 7 February 2019) and Working With Children check (valid until 2024).

I am a professional writer, editor, and producer for radio and sound art projects. I work freelance, mostly from home. This means that I am present daily to take care of pets and gardens, take dogs for walks, and keep everyone happy.

I travel often with my work, keeping a home base in East Gippsland. So I have been enjoying house and pet sitting in Melbourne when in town, meeting new furry friends and exploring my home city in an interesting way. I love travelling, reading, gardening, walking and swimming. In 2023 I am caretaking a large property 1.5 hours north of Melbourne, with shorter periods back in East Gippsland and inner Melbourne for work on projects.
