Hello, I'm Alex, a local Brisbane woman who is a non-smoking, childfree mature age student, part time worker and full time house/pet sitter since mid 2016.
I currently have availability from 7th June to 24th July. Availability is open again from 30th of September onwards.
Logistics and the festive season means offers with the longest duration from mid December to end of January will be given preference, feel free to make contact with dates you are considering for your holiday.
I'm always open to chat about plans and dates if you're forward planning an extended time away in 2025.
Preference is for positions within approximately 10 km of Brisbane CBD. I have my own transport and will be at your place for extended periods during day, as well as most evenings and every night, that means good security for the house and lots of company for your pet/s.
I began house sitting by choice at the start of a long study program and I loved it from day one. Meeting new people, experiencing different suburbs and most of all, getting to know, love and care for all the pets, is just my best life. Some pretty happy home owners think so too!
I am very much an animal person, having grown up in UK and NZ with horses, assorted dogs, guinea pigs, birds, fish, a cat and chickens. They are all people to me!
I'm 100% comfortable following your pets established routines, rules and regulations. Whether that is inside sleeping on the bed, strictly outside or anything in between. Continuity for your pet is reassuring for them and me!
I feel it is a privilege to be welcomed into another's home which means I'm careful, clean, tidy and considerate of your home, possessions and neighbours.
Being a practical person by nature, mowing, general garden care, watering, cleaning pool filters etc. are all easy to take on as part of my normal routine.
Recent references from happy, satisfied homeowners plus vaccination record, police check and photo ID are available for your added peace of mind.

Alex is the most wonderful house sitter and all round fabulous human!
She looked after our house, garden and two feline friends for 4 months whilst we were overseas. We could totally relax knowing that everything was left in her capable hands.

We came home to a spotless house and a fridge stocked with essentials and treats.

The only issue with Alex is she is booked so far in advance! We arrived home to find everything as we left it, a fridge with fresh supplies for us, a dog who was so relaxed it was like we had not been away for 7 weeks. We found Alex to be a very competent, reliable and trustworthy Pet/House sitter. While we were away for 4 weeks Alex took great care of our little kitty Sisi, sending us photos every few days with details of how they were getting to know each other.
Alex also looked after the house, watered the plants and did an excellent job of looking after our cat. We would be more than happy to have Alex house sit for us again in the future.

Alex was a wonderfull housesitter. Not only is she a very lovely person, but she also took good care of our house that we found in an immaculate state and even with beautiful flowers. We found our plants in a beautiful state. But most importantly, our doggy Pollux (basically our first born) was very happy. Our trip was very long (6 weeks!) and not once I got worried about his well-being. Alex obviously loves dogs and is quite knowlageble about them. She regularly sent us updates about how he ... Alex was really patient with my constant check-ins and sent me regular photos and updates (having asked early on how much communication I'd like). I was so worried about leaving my dogs, particularly the 1yr old who has separation anxiety. I could see from the videos and photos that they were both completely happy and behaving exactly as they do with me. No signs of stress or anxiety ...
