We are Byron and Pam. We are a retired couple, Byron from the British Merchant Navy and Pam as a Manager in the National Health Service.
We would like to offer our services to take care of your pets and property whilst you are away. We have been housesitting for over 3 years in total and feel we are very competent at looking after all kinds of animals and properties.
Both our children have lived in Australia for over 10 years and now live in Perth. We have 3 grandchildren here now and we want to be able to spend more time with them and be very much part of their lives. We also want to be closer to help with support and childcare. Housesitting gives us the perfect opportunity to do that and also to travel and visit more of Australia when time and COVID permits.
We intend to make Perth our base for the foreseeable future as we have spent time in Victoria, where our daughter and family previously lived.
We have completed a number of housesits, and. have looked after and maintained homes with houseplants, vegetable plots, orchards and large gardens requiring regular maintenance . We have looked after homes with one and multiple pets, including chickens, sheep and geese.
We have found house sitting to be an excellent way of seeing Australia and meeting people and making new friends.
We have always had dogs in our lives, the last one was a black labrador, Lennox who sadly died aged 15 years. The only reason we haven't got another dog is our desire to travel and spend more time with the family.
We arrived in Australia for our latest visit in January 2020 intending to stay for one year but due to COVID we are very lucky to have been able to stay indefinitely.
We would look after your home the same as we would our own. We are non-smokers, and are very clean and tidy. We are active people and enjoy walking, nature and wildlife.
We consider ourselves fit and well and able to meet the love, care, walking and daily routines of large or small pets.
We are trustworthy, honest and reliable people and would treat your home and pets exactly the same as we would our own.

We were blown away by the level of care Pam and Byron had when looking after our two cooker spaniels and our house. The house and garden were left in better shape than when we had left it and the dogs clearly well loved. Highly recommended Pam and Byron to anyone - more than capable!
Pam & Bryon were amazing. The garden has never looked better, our yard raked of every leaf, shed cleaned, wood chopped and fire set. House left very clean and tidy.

Byron and Pam looked after our house for two weeks, communication was a breeze. Animals were well taken care of, and our lawn was even mowed when we returned which we didn't ask for! House was lovely and clean when we returned. Thankyou both for taking care of our house and pets, we are forever grateful.
This is the first time we've needed to use a house-sitter in many years, and we were a little nervous. However on meeting Pam & Byron, we (and more importantly our pets) quickly felt at ease and that all would be taken care of.

Byron & Pam are the must have house sitters.
They stayed in our home for 6 weeks, the house was well looked after and left immaculate on our return. The gardens were beautifully maintained, lawns garden borders pot plants leaves picked up etc.
We pride ourselves in keeping our home and garden maintained to a high standard but Byron and Pam went beyond our expectations.

Pam and Byron where fantastic sitters! Not only did they look after our beautiful pets but did an awesome job on the house and fixed our plumbing which sprang a leak whilst away. I would highly recommend their services and will use them again. Communication was great, they sent us updates on a regular basis along with photos. Thanks again guys for all your help. X
For the second time Pam and Byron did an excellent job looking after our house. The yard is unrecognisable with not a weed left in sight! Our dog and chickens were very well looked after and the house was nice and clean when we got home. They were very understanding that we had to come home early due to the incoming cyclone.
We were so happy with our choice to have Pam and Byron look after our home and greyhound!! They really did an amazing job and I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking for a housesitter. We came back to a very happy dog and a home that honestly looked better than we left it! They went above and beyond and were so lovely to deal with. Pam and Byron looked after our house and pets when we planned a last minute holiday. They communicated effectively and arrived in time to enable us to show them around and allow us to catch our plane. The animals were well cared for and the house was amazingly clean.. There were a number of personal touches that we discovered over the next few days on our return including that Byron made us a pull-cord for our large bell using his merchant seaman craft-work! It was indeed a pleasure to meet both Pam and Byron. The house and garden have never looked so clean. We were gobsmacked when we returned home to see the transformation in our place.
They made the time to come and meet us before we left for our holiday, they updated us during the sit and took great care of our dog whisper.

Pam and Byron truly went above and beyond in taking care of our home and dog. Everything was left in better condition than when they arrived. We would recommend them to anyone needing pet sitters as they are truly animal lovers. They also cared for our chickens and even our worm farm. We could not be happier.
Byron and Pam looked after our place extremely well, in fact it was probably in better shape when we returned than when we left. They are coming back to help us out again, so we are delighted with that. We can totally recommend Byron and Pam.
