Hi All, Just a quick introduction of who we are:... Laurie and Jenny, we are Australians born and bred. We have raised three children of our own, and for the last 13.years, it has been just the two of us again. So, with the support of family and friends, we have spent seven years (from Dec 2010-till Jan 2018) in Africa as volunteers. Three and a half years in Zimbabwe working with orphan and abandoned children and the second three and a half in South Africa working in a Mission School. Jenny's former training as an Early Childhood Teacher and Laurie's as a builder has allowed us to help in the development of resources and the African Children themselves. This has been a very rewarding time and also times of frustration as cultural differences and acceptable practices co-exist. As this time has now come to an end we believe we have learnt a lot and experienced the gift of friendship and the joys and strengths gained with sharing one's life with others outside of a paid job situation. We have always been an animal loving family and have missed not having a pet while overseas. We are ready to unleash all that love when and where we can . We have been married for forty-five years and hold a high standard of moral conduct making us honest and trustworthy and holding a high regard for others and their property. . We are non smokers or drinkers as this is our own personal life style, so you won't need to lock away those special bottles of whatever just in case temptation should strike.!! We are both active and like to keep busy. Jenny loves gardening and Laurie does the practical as well as the heavy work. Jenny is a people person, Laurie is more work orientated but is slowing down (a little bit!) the older he gets. We are based on the Sunshine coast in sunny Queensland but are prepared to travel.

Upon return from our trip, we were met with happy pets, healthy plants, clean house, smiling faces and a beautiful home-cooked lunch.
Jen and Laurie are simply good people -trustworthy, caring and diligent. Like it or not, they now find themselves on our "good mates" list. Jenny and Laurie did a fantastic job.
While we were away we got regular updates and pictures of the house and our dog via WhatsApp.
When we arrived home the lawn was freshly mowed, the house was spotless and there was a delicious quiche in the fridge for our lunch.
Jenny and Laurie will be my first port of call for any future sits we may need and I recommend them unconditionally to others who are looking for someone to look after their home and pet.

Spot on yet again. Jen and Laurie cared for our dog and home for 4 weeks. Milo was looked after like he was their own - taken to the beach, coffee outings and walks. Many photos of Milo doing different activities were greatly appreciated! Our home was cared for beautifully and new plants were even placed in the garden. So nice to come home to flowers blooming in the garden.
Jen also cooked us a meal for our return and ensured milk and bread in the fridge.

We are so lucky to have found Jenny and Laurie available to do our house sit. They took the time to come and meet us and the animals a couple of times beforehand. Jen and Laurie took the trouble to visit twice before house and pet sitting for us in an attempt to bond with Lily.

Jen and Laurie were quite spectacular as house/dog sitters. They looked after our house and garden perfectly and conducted a mutual love affair with our little dog. The house was shining on our return and Shaka was sad to see them leave. Jen left a quiche and a beautiful cake plus staples and flowers to welcome us home. Laurie did some superb work for me and fixed a bathroom door handle that broke. They are in great demand but when we need another sit we will be calling them up.

Since our arrival home we have grown the relationship with this wonderful couple. They further, happily worked with us to accommodate a slight extension to our time away at short notice for which we were most grateful.

Communication was seamless and our pets were immediately relaxed around them which was most important to us . When we arrived home after a late flight our beds were made with Fresh sheets and linen with ... We could not have come home to our home looking better, Our garden was well cared for and our house was spotlessly clean and tidy. Communication with them was easy throughout the process and they were very easy to deal with. I have already asked them to consider another house sit later in the year as I now know they will treat our home like it were their own with complete respect. I have no hesitation recommending Laurie and Jenny to anyone who requires a house sitter for their property. Couple
Jenny and Laurie house-sat for us for a period of three weeks in June 2018. They are a wonderful friendly down-to-earth couple whose love of animals is obvious. Our dog, 2 cats and 3 chickens were looked after with care and diligence ie spoilt rotten. Our house, plants and pool received the same treatment. Jen very considerately kept in touch with photos and updates during our absence.

While we were away we got regular updates and pictures of the house and our dog via WhatsApp.
When we arrived home the lawn was freshly mowed, the house was spotless and there was a delicious quiche in the fridge for our lunch.
Jenny and Laurie will be my first port of call for any future sits we may need and I recommend them unconditionally to others who are looking for someone to look after their home and pet.
Jenny and Laurie did an excellent job caring for our home and dog. Charlie our pet dog was very settled when we arrived home and was enjoying playing with some new toys Jenny had given him.
