We are fit and active 'young' 50+ year olds, married and non-smokers. An animal loving couple, Reliable, Mature, Kind and Resourceful and fully jabbed.
We absolutely LOVE all animals and have lots of experience, having always had our own pets in the past and we have almost 4 years of experience House and Pet Sitting in the UK and the USA. We have cared for dogs of all sizes and temperaments and loved of them all and we adore cats too and know that new pet sitters need to take it slowly with most kittys getting to know them gently and respecting their ways and then they reward you with the best cuddles and fun.

Your pets and house/gardens will be in the safe hands of an experienced and highly dependable couple that you can confidently rely on. We can provide references and we have been Police checked.

We are both retired from our real jobs, Julie was a school bursar and personal assistant to the head teacher. Jonathan has been responsible for managing multi million pound leisure centres, and then later setting up a property management company including pool maintenance and also a Learn to Swim School. We have both undergone police checks.

What you can expect from us ..... We will totally love and care for your pets as if they were our own and follow any instructions meticulously regarding your pets needs. We are 'home birds' who love nothing more than spending our day at home with the pets or walking out with them exploring the local area. We are financially independent and work less than a couple of hours daily on our working website. We will keep you updated while you are away by Whatsapp, email or text message. We will keep your home safe and clean and protected. Jonathan is the practical one and can carry out most little odd jobs or emergency repair work if needed. Your home will be kept secure and well looked after and kept immaculate and tidy.

Most importantly, we are kind, honest and reliable with lots of common sense and we adore animals... and humans. We are so looking forward to meeting lots of pets and lots of owners in Australia. We are very happy to video all/Facetime for a chat. We can provide Reviews and Testimonials.

Our other experience over the past 25+ years includes, bringing up 4 happy children, caring for 6 dogs and 1 cat into their old age, tending to a collection of 10 chickens, two rabbits, two guinea pigs, a collection of mice and gerbils, gold fish and sticklebacks. We have also looked after sheep and horses for relations in the past. Jonathan has completed a course in Canine Behaviour, which included understanding and caring for rescue dogs.

We love Australia, having visited 4 times already and we see Aussiehousesitters as an exciting opportunity to include house and pet sitting as we slowly explore more of Australia, living like a local. It's a dream for us - looking after pets, meeting new people and experiencing new locations.

Julie and Jonathan are AMAZING! I cannot recommend them highly enough. They were so caring and looked after Mabel's every need. They took her on wonderful walks, threw her ball (endlessly!), took her everywhere they went and cuddled her on the sofa, just as we would have done. Mabel absolutely adored them and tried to climb into their car when they left! As for the house and garden, it looked immaculate when we got home - far tidier and cleaner than when we left! They were happy to water our plants and veg patch and mow the lawn. Nothing was too much trouble. They are so professional and their communication, both before the sit and during it, was fantastic. They send updates on Mabel every day and it made our holiday stress-free, to see our beautiful dog so loved. We feel we've made new friends and hope to keep in touch with them.
