WE ARE A QUIET RELIABLE COUPLE WHO HAVE HAD LOTS OF EXPERIENCE AND HAVE LOTS OF REFERENCES. We are particularly keen on sits on the Gold Coast, Mornington Peninsula and in Melbourne. Because we have been sitting full-time for SEVENTEEN YEARS, mostly on the Coast, we have done many house-sits, varying from a few days to several months. Many are repeat bookings. We have been Aussie members since we started housesitting. We do not have pets of our own. We non-drinkers and non-smokers and will care for your homes, gardens and pets as though they were our own. We are committed to spending most of our time with your pets and find that almost all of the time there is at least one of us there. If your pets are used to individual care we offer that. We do our very best to keep them to their usual routines as much as possible. We come from a background in caring fields (aged care and disability) and have excellent references. Also we managed some holiday apartments for several years. We had our own holiday farm for several years where we catered for visiting groups and kept numerous poultry, horses, sheep, goats, dogs and a pig. We are equally content in rural and in city environments. We have excellent references and also can arrange for you to speak with owners from previous sits. We are currently on the Gold Coast and are happy to come to meet you. We have a number of sits booked but there are still a few gaps in our schedule. We are particularly hoping to sit on the Gold Coast in the coming year and travel down to the Mornington Peninsula/ Melbourne as well. Please discuss your needs with us. A little bit about our sitting experience........ We went across to South Australia in August 2007 and our first sit was for a couple of months at a 40 acre property at Middleton where we cared for 4 angora rabbits, a couple of sheep, a couple of alpacas and a special ginger cat called Milko. He slept on our beds and woke me every morning at dawn for breakfast. Their dog was Thomas, a border collie and he slept in our room, played ball all day long and joined Milko for breakfast while I had my morning coffee. Next we cared for two little Jack Russells, Sophie and Trixie who had the run of the house and slept on our beds, because they were used to doing that with their owners. They were walked every day and given lots of special time. Their owner works from home so they chose us because they knew we were prepared to spend lots of quality time with their babies. In Adelaide we had a labrador, Jazz and a labradoodle, Delta and a beautiful black cat called Belle. They spent all day with us in the house, or out in the yard when we were out there, and had made the sit a pleasure. We took them to the local pooch park as often as we could (most days) and they enjoyed running around with the other dogs and also the social experience. We left there on 26th. Then we did a 4 day sit minding 2 indoor cats (Mac and Zac) and 2 outside dogs (Hamish and Maggy) near the beach at Aldinga. From the 30th January were sitting in Salisbury where we are caring for a miniature foxie (Digger), a ginger cat (Leo) and a 4 month old black kitten (Benny). Then from 21st to 28th we were at Glenalta minding one little dog called Max and feeding all of the wild life the owners always feed (about 100 wild birds, ducks etc. twice a day and the possums get fruit cut up for them every night) Then we went to a 4 acre property just out of Mount Gambier. There we were caring for 3 dogs (a bull mastiff called duke, a boxer called Bess and a jack russell called Allie) 2 cats, 2 sheep, fish, chooks, ducks and peacocks. We stayed there from 28th February until 29th March. We then travelled for 4 days up to Queensland where we minded a staffy called Bronson and a cat called Muffin from 2nd April for ten days in Peregian springs. We have been mainly in Queensland since then doing a large number of sits, some very short and some much longer. These include in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. We have also done sitting in NSW. We have done many repeat bookings. If we sound as though we might suit your needs then it'd be good to communicate with you.
