  • I grew up on a dairy farm (all our cows had names) and had a brother as a vet (he passed away from bowel cancer). I am very comfortable around large animals and can drive a tractor, load and put hay out as required.

In 2018 I housesat for four friends, looking after their pets, home and plants, I really loved it, so I decided to do so on a regular basis.

Since then, I've made some wonderful animal friends, and their owners are happy, which is what I want to do for you and your pet so you can enjoy your break.

Owners were sent regular updates with photos and videos of their pets and messages via WhatsApp. When the owners returned, their houses were clean, and there was nothing for them to do except unpack their bags.

I'm a non-smoker, don't party and like to keep fit with bike riding. I'm an NDIS carer so my work times vary from day to day, and I normally have one or two days at home during the week, plus weekends.

I'd be delighted to help you out with your time away from your home and your pet, and then see if you concur with my assessment by Jo, Vanessa and Laura.

Mal is an exceptional dog sitter and human being. He went above and beyond for us during his stay, providing his professional skills and time during a delicate time of need we unexpectedly experienced while away. Mal was a great dog and house sitter for My 2 Golden Retriever’s who adored him and respected when he asked them to do certain things. The liaison between Mal and my boyz was amazing and Mal thank you for taking good care of them. We kept in touch during his stay and Mal extended it for a few days when I was discharged from hospital to walk the boys until I could start to get back in my feet which l am so appreciative of. Mal was great to deal with from the first message. We have a very shy greyhound that he was very patient and kind with her. Mal sent through heaps of photo updates and was very communicative throughout. I’m not sure if Frankie (our cat) even knew we were gone!! When we arrived home, the house was just as we left it. I would definitely recommend Mal to anyone looking for a pet sitter!

Mal was an excellent housesitter. He came around just before the sit to meet the animals and see the house. The house was extremely tidy when I got back. The animals had a lovely time and Mal had even brought his own lead, which turned out to be a better choice for Zoe. I had some travelling issues and needed Mal to help me out a bit and he was very obliging. We were very happy that Mal was able to step in and take care of our dog Loki for the week. He had an instant rapport with Loki and the whole process was very easy. We would recommend Mal to anyone interested in having their house and/or pet looked after whilst they are away.

Mal is welcome in our home anytime - even when we're here!!! He was awesome with Ginny, the house was extra shiny when we got back and communication was excellent. Our only issue is previous sits know how good he is too and rebooking is proving tricky!

Mal was fantastic with my girls. Megs - 18 yr old cat and Moppie my 5 yr old Groodle. He cared for them like they were his own. The important factor was the care of the two animals that mean so much to me.. Mal also loved them and he walked Moppie more than I ever did.!! She will so miss him. I initially tried finding solo women sitters to no avail. Mal was my first male sitter and he was brilliant. I'm having him back in June. And I know Moppie will be absolutely delighted.

No rating If you are looking for a responsible dedicated housesitter., you need look no further than Mal Padgett. He cared for our fur babies Polly & Peppa as of they were his own, We could not fault Mal, our home was immaculate when we returned and Mal had prepared a magnificent spag bol for our dinner, gotta love a Housesitter like him. He also communicated regularly with updates and photos of our girls.
