Please allow us to introduce ourselves. We are a retired couple with professional backgrounds, Jan having a distinguished nursing career and Doug with a background of accounting and IT.
We both have current National Police Checks and both have current Working with Vulnerable People checks.
We have lived overseas in Asia for 5 years in the 80's and 90's and NZ during the 60's fulfilling work commitments. We have 2 well settled children and 7 grandchildren and love dogs.
We are currently in Brisbane Queensland.
We are both members of Lions Clubs International and have been for the past 44years.
Most of our housesits now come from resits or word of mouth referrals..
Having owned a Golden Retriever for some 14 years, we would love to hear from anyone looking for a responsible couple to look after your property and pets.
References are available from previous house sits.

Doug and Jan were truly wonderful. Our little dog Max was so happy and well cared for when we arrived home. (In fact he was quite unsure initially as to who to align with).
We arrived home to a lovely curry for dinner and with everything clean, pool and garden healthy. What more could one ask for? We would highly recommend Doug and Jan and intend to have them back to look after Max and our house whenever we go away.

I was very lucky to have Doug & Jan look after my home & dogs for almost a month while overseas. They were everything you could hope a housesitter would be. I came home to a spotlessly clean house & more importantly 2 very calm, happy, well loved pups. They even went above and beyond & did some extra jobs I'd asked them to help with. Communication was excellent. I would recommend Jan and Doug to anyone who wants a stress free carer for their furry friends & possessions.
Doug and Jan communicated with me prior to the housesit so I knew where they were and when they would be arriving, they called in and met me and my 'family' prior to the housesit and they arrived in the morning before I left which was reassuring for me.
The communication while I was away was fantastic, I always knew what was happening with my dogs with Doug answering all my messages within an hour or so.

The first thing I would say is "If you want to have a peace of mind knowing that your pets and house are cared for and have a guilt free holiday" you should see if Doug and Jan are available to house sit for you. Even though I only met them on Skype for the first time I knew that they were the right choice for us after talking to them for couple of minutes.
