Hi. I am Heather and my husband is David.
LOOKING FOR A HOUSE SIT IN THE BLUE MOUNTAINS FROM 27 DEC FOR A FEW DAYS to have some Christmas time with relatives.
We are a healthy, happy "middle aged" (hate those words- should say 65 yrs young) couple who have recently retired and moved to Alexandra in the Victorian high country (October 2021)
We have completed many housesits of one to three months and all home owners have been very pleased and are happy to provide a reference.
As we have just bought a house we have no need of long house sits but could still be interested in any sits for 1-2 weeks in locations in Victoria, Covid allowing, just to see different areas of the state. However not really after farm type situations where you are confined to the property for most of the day. Interested in going out some days to explore!
Our dog is a very small, gentle, 14 years old terrier cross called Mozzie who loves everyone, sleeps all day and has no teeth! We inherited her from our niece when she emigrated 5 years ago. Mozz is extremely well trained. Would prefer her to be allowed inside as that is what she is used to. She has been on most sits with us and never been a problem.
Prefer no cats as they are often bigger than Mozz (and she is scared of them!) but they are not really a problem unless you think the cat would be bothered by her. Mozzie just steers clear.
We were in the upper Hunter area of NSW for the last 10 years and previously lived and worked in Albury for 12 years to 2011 (own home and business). Before that it was the Illawarra - grew up there.
So - if you are going away for a while and would like someone experienced to mind your house and animals please keep us in mind.
We would take excellent care of your property and animals. Happy to look after either a suburban home or a property and would be around a lot of the time but also out for some days. We love animals and have experience in looking after dogs, chooks, horses etc.
We are quiet and respectful and David is very handy with fixing things and very happy to attend to any odd repairs that may come up. I have a book-keeping background so would be more than capable of looking after any paperwork you may require while you are away.
We are practical and sensible people (we sound really boring don't we) and very capable of making informed decisions in emergencies.
You will not find more conscientious house sitters.
