We are planning to be back in Cairns full time from August 2024 to work and play golf. We have heaps of experience housesitting in Melbourne, Cairns, Darwin, Karratha and Geraldton. Mandurah and Kalgoorlie.
We would love to mind your home and animals. We have experience with small, medium and large dogs (three deaf), cats and chickens. We have even looked after a lizard! We have given regular medication to both cats and dogs. So you can be assured that you would be able to have a well deserved break and not have to worry about your beloved pets while you are away.
We both love animals, although have none of our own as we travel regularly. We have previously had a Greyhound from the Greyhound Adoption Program in Victoria and a cat, both of whom are no longer with us.
We would care for your pets and home as if they were our own. Your pets would have to be used to being alone during the day on occasions as we do work and play golf, but we would make up for this and be home at night to walk and feed or do whatever needed to be done.
We have a caravan so would need space to store it during a housesit.
We would be able to provide references on request and we are non-smokers.

What wonderful house and dog sitters. The house, pool and gardens looked perfect when I returned and the dogs so happy and content. I enjoyed receiving the occasional update and photos of the dogs. I would definitely recommend Mel and Tolly

Melissa and Tolly looked after our home and garden recently. We could not have asked for more friendly housesitters - our first meeting felt like we were catching up with friends. Mel even emailed a photo of a package that had arrived from overseas. We had almost no contact with them while we were away, as we knew our home would be well looked after. Melissa and Tolly have been great to have as house sitters. They communicated well with us. One of our chickens was suddenly limbing and we talked over the phone of what we could do. I felt that my pets (cat, dog and chicken) were in great hands.
It is a good feeling when you are on holiday, knowing that everything will be looked after.

We have just had Melissa & Tolly the 2nd time. We find them to be reliable & on the ball looking after our house, garden & 2 Cavs. The Cavs love them coming to sit for us.
We are so happy with them that we have organized for them to come a 3rd time when we go to Europe in June / July.
Believe me they are just perfect.
Melissa and Tolly looked after our house while we were on a family vacation. They made us feel extremely comfortable prior to leaving, which we thought would be hard to do given it was our first time. Our animals were all very well looked after and so was our house. We came home to a spotless house, washed sheets and freshly vacuumed floor! They could not have made this process any easier for us. They even put out our rubbish bins which we didn't ask them to do. Great couple extremely happy with them & they are very reliable & look after our house, garden & 2 Cavs . The dogs look forward to them coming each time.

Amazing Housesitters!
We had been let down by another housesitter but with only 24 hours until we were due to leave, Melissa and Tolly came to our rescue and were very accommodating given the circumstances.
Our much loved dog was happy and chilled on our return and the bedding and towels had all been laundered.
We were so happy that we have booked them again, this time for a longer stay and it will be a little more planned this time.
Cannot recommend these guys enough :)
Melissa and Tolly were wonderful, Val and I felt very at ease after our first phone conversation and this was affirmed at our meeting over coffee. As first timers using the house sitting concept we were obviously cautious and nervous as our dog had never been apart from us for more than one day, however once we met both Melissa and Tolly we had instant rapport and trust.
