64, Retired Senior UK Police Officer
60, HLTA working in a school for children with complex needs
A retired senior UK Police Officer and a semi-retired HLTA in a school for children with complex needs, we have been free to travel for longer and more widely since our youngest left home for university and beyond.
We are very professional in our approach, but only seek to exchange our time for the opportunity to experience different locations and cultures, and meet interesting people and their pets. We have been favoured with positive experiences and made some life-long friendships along the way.
Flexible with our time, we are able to take on single or repeated, short or long-term engagements but as we choose to leave the UK winter behind we are only available for the months of December, January & February in Australia (We travel elsewhere at other times). We have been house-sitting in Australia since 2013, initially so that Susan could go back to her roots in Victoria and show Stephen the country of her childhood, but every year since then because Stephen has fallen in love with Oz, hook line and sinker!
We have always had cats and lost our last two aged 19, so it is a joy to care for other people's beloved pets. With a love of DIY & gardening, we often agree to renovation, repair and project work around properties as it pleases us to keep busy, a 'service' much appreciated it seems as we have repeat and regular sits in Europe and Australia, one in France being for the sixth year running.
Full Police checks and impeccable references are available. Because we use various sites, and accept sits based on personal recommendations, our full history is not shown on this site, so we also have private web pages which have much more detail of our experience and references etc. ( we will happily provide a link if requested).
We are always happy to chat on Skype to initially 'meet' more informally. We hope we can look forward to your call. S & S
