Brooke & Cameron Hyde

Hey there, we are Cameron and Brooke, and we can't wait to take care of your furry ones! We are a young professional couple who like keeping a clean and peaceful home.

What makes us the perfect match for you? We spend a lot of time at home, both working and relaxing, so your pets will receive a lot of contact time. Two of us means twice as much attention! We live locally on the Sunshine Coast, and can meet you ahead of time for peace of mind. We both have pet-friendly cars. We can provide Police checks on request, and are honest and reliable by nature.

Cam: full-time remote worker, I'll be around most of the day to take care of your furry children (distractions from work are most welcome!). I have a range of experience with dogs, from the anxious pup to the high-energy hound. I'm also good with house plants and general maintenance (in case of emergencies). I'm originally from Scotland but have lived on the Sunshine Coast for 8 years now. When I can get out the house I like running and hiking, and when it rains you'll find me growing herbs, baking sourdough or tinkering in the garage.

Brooke: part-time support worker and part-time remote study. I love gardening in my spare time, and I'm the cat person! I grew up in Caloundra and always had a cat in the house (Kovu). When I get a free moment I like rock climbing, cooking and travel.

While we are new to this platform, we both have experience house sitting for friends and family. With your home and pets under our care, rest assured that everything will be just as you left it when you return!

Between the two of us, we have experience caring for dogs, cats, fish ponds/tanks, chooks, horses, rabbits, mice and one salamander! But each of us has our own specific interests.

Cam - I have a range of experience with dogs, from the anxious pup to the high-energy hound. In the past 8 years I have lived with a spoodle, a collie (working dog) and a ridgeback (BIG boy) and grew up with a miniature poodle, so I'm used to a range of personalities. I have also house-sat for a few cats. I'm also quite passionate about garden/house plants and can handle some general maintenance (in case of emergencies).

Brooke - I'm the cat person. I always had a cat in the house growing up (his name is Kovu) so I am familiar with their cheeky ways! I also have a green thumb in the garden, and love growing veggies, herbs and flowers. I grew up with horses too, so would consider the opportunity to care for them though I know their requirements can vary.

Why are we interested in house sitting?
After renting in Buderim for a while, we were ready for a change of routine. House sitting offers us the chance to travel, save on rent, and enjoy spending time with animals—something we’re currently unable to commit to full-time. Since starting this adventure in September 2024, we've loved every minute of it and have already made great memories caring for a variety of animals.
