I'm Kirsten Nightingale, a local petsitter/housesitter based in the Brisbane area.
I offer petsitting (in your home) /housesitting/ home visits/ dog walking. The petsitting/housesitting will include dog walking/playing, general house maintaince, such as lawns (if longer term), watering plants and pool maintenance. I've also been known to fix a toilet or leaky showerhead if necessary I like to leave a place the same quality as when I arrived (or better) and for your pets to feel like you weren't even gone because they're having a great time. You'll also receive plenty of photo updates so you know we're all doing good. Or maybe your pet has just done something cute and I wanted to show you!
Previous experience with dogs of all breeds, ages and behaviours (I'm not easily intimidated), cats (and the animals they sometimes bring me usually lizards and mice but I've gotten the odd bat), various fowl, livestock, guinea pigs, fish or reptiles (previously only looked after lizards but I'd also do snakes). Comfortable administering medications and doing drop offs to the groomers. I don't find much to be out of my comfort zone at this point, I've been doing this for a few years now.
I'd prefer to build an ongoing relationship with my clients, because the best part is when I get to come back and see your pets again I get attached so I'm always overjoyed when someone asks me to come back. I usually do 2 week- 3 month sits but open to doing shorter ones if I have a gap.
I do work part time but outside that I'm a bit of a homebody and if you have a dog, I'll probably end up taking them with me anywhere I go (my favourite go to is the beach, if they're comfortable in the car).
I can also provide an abundance of references that I'm sure will speak positively of me if you need reassurance.

Kirsten was a delight to deal with, nothing seems to be a problem and she was very mature and confident.
She hit it off with my pets from the start. She is very clean and tidy and respectful of our place, we were super happy to come home from holidays to a clean, tidy home and happy, healthy pets.

I would highly recommend Kirsten. My cat took to her straight away and I knew they would get along. The photos and videos she sent over the 2 weeks were evidence of how well they did. It was great to return tired from holiday to find the place spick and span. Could not have asked for more. I would be very happy for Kirsten to look after my cat and home again!

Kirsten took great care of our home and two cats while we were away. I had some concerns about one of our cats who tends to fret when we are away, but Kirsten's communication was so good, we received lots of photos to help ease our worries and the cats loved her! Kirsten is the best!!!! She cared for our two cats as if they were her own and I'm pretty sure they were disappointed when we came home and realised she was gone. Kirsten sent regular photos/videos and updates on how everything was going which was fantastic. The house was left in an immaculate condition with all of the linen used washed! What a treat! I recently used the services of Kirsten who provided me with her house and pet sitting services. I have an Australian Shepherd and four temperamental cats who don't usually take to strangers very well.
My dog (Marsha) really took to Kirsten when she first arrived and I knew instantly that my pets would be well cared for. Even my cats took to her.

Whether it's a long stay or short she's always happy to help us out and takes really good care of everything. Kirsten is a wonderful house- and pet-sitter. Very capeable to deal with unexpected situations during housesits. We had Kirsten a couple of times for our cats and house here . The cats where happy and contend when we came home and the house as neat and tidy as we left. It made our holidays much more relaxed knowing our furry animal friends were in good hands.
