Dolphin Safe and Pet Friendly

56, Retired

Don't go near the clothes line...I think there might be a kelpie hiding behind it...and what ever you do, do not pick up that rope, it's a trap ! ...

I have recently purchased my own home. So I am now only looking at shorter house sits.

I am a single 56 yo retired cook. Ex-military. I am very reliable and completely trustworthy. Fully house trained and pet friendly :) I am a NON smoker and have never used drugs. I enjoy a cold beer in the afternoon.

I have a small caravan. It is 13 foot.

I have a kelpie (red dog) who is about 6 years old. If you look very closely you might see him hiding behind the clothes line. You might have to squint a bit because he is HIDING. He is actually fishing...He knows that all he has to do is wait and sooner or later a human will come along and grab the other end of that rope!! He is very, very friendly. All other dogs are his friend. He is cat trained - he ignores cats ! He loves people and he has to say hello to every kid he sees. He is de-sexed and all needles are up to date and of course, he is microchipped. He is a rescued dog. He came from a farm. He was 8 weeks old when I heard they had no work for him and were going to knock him on the head and I said "that aint gunna happen"...So here he now is...Australia's friendliest human fishing kelpie (as seen here on the internet).

I have always had a dog. Over the years I have also had other pets including birds, fish and even a couple of cats. So looking after your pets is no prob.

Some years ago I had my own lawn mowing and handyman business. So I am more than capable of doing little jobs around the house.

If you do phone me and I don't answer, please leave a message...I do not answer the phone if I am in the car, on the loo, in the shower or landing a prize bream. I do not "filter" calls, if I don't answer it just means my hands are steering, wet or busy...

Thanks for reading this far. If you think I might be suitable for your needs, I would love to hear from you.

Regards
Neil

No rating We were very happy with Neil and the care he took with our Dalmation Marlo as well as our house and garden.
CHRISTINE (Lake Bunga VIC, Feb 2018 - 4 weeks)
No rating This was the first time we used a house sitter. We were naturally nervous, however, Neil communicated very well with us and gave us confidence that things would run smoothly. Neil did a great job of looking after our pets, garden and home. He was great with communication, keeping us up to date with how things were going throughout the sit. Neil is a nice and easy going person and we would love to have him back again.
ILJA (Tumut NSW, Jan 2018)
No rating Neil proved to be very conscientious, sitting our home for 6 months. He forwarded our mail and notified us of any urgent matters. Our lawns had been mowed and he cooked a delicious dinner for us when we arrived home.
JEANETTE (Harden NSW, Apr 2017 - 5 months)
No rating I was very happy having Neil house-sit for the six weeks. He was clean and tidy. He mowed my lawns and took very good care of my cat. His dog, Talon got on well with my cat Panda. I recommend Neil for anyone looking for someone to house sit with honesty and trust. Thanks you Neil very much.
JULIE (smithtown NSW, Nov 2015 - 1 month 2 weeks)
No rating Our house, garden and cherished animals including two horses were well looked after whilst we had two weeks down the coast. We found Neil to be reliable, going that extra mile when needed. I would have no hesitation in recommending Neil for any future house sits.
MERRAN (Dunlop / Canberra, ACT, Feb 2015)
No rating Neil and Talon looked after my home recently. They did a great job, house was clean and tidy on my return. Talon, is a delightful well behaved dog, who is a great companion for Neil. Both perfect gentlemen, highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dog/house sitter.
ANNIE (Callala Beach, NSW, Jan 2015 - 6 days)
No rating Neil and Talon did a great job looking after our house and Labrador. They had come for a short stay before we left and we felt entirely comfortable leaving house, dog and chooks in their hands. Everything was well looked after when we returned, our Lab had obviously enjoyed playing with Talon, and Neil even had a delicious dinner waiting for us on our return. We would definitely be happy to have them both here again.
