We are a retired couple who are travelling in our 25ft 5th Wheeler. We own a home in Hervey Bay which we rent out full time. We have been travelling around Australia since 2015, started housesitting 4 years ago and really enjoy these breaks in our travels. We like the flexibility it gives us to choose where we would like to spend some extra time. We ran our own tyre services for 35 years and I also worked at Hervey Bay Hospital for 16 years before we decided to travel fulltime. We love the travelling lifestyle but feel like we needed to try something different, hence the housesitting. We are both active so walking dogs is no problem, and I enjoy gardening and would keep your gardens in good shape. Alan is happy to look after horses if necessary. We have previously owned homes with a pool so they are no problem. Our 5th wheeler is quite high so we need a clear level area to park up. As long as we can plug into power and use your indoor facilities, we are happy to either stay in our van or in your home, whichever suits you. I consider ourselves to be a very reliable couple and we will definitely treat your home as if it is our own.

Julieanne and Allan have been fantastic house sitters. Being the first time we invited someone in to house sit our home and look after our babies, they quickly put our minds at ease with their wisdom, understanding and preparedness to go the extra mile. Julieanne and Alan were my first house sitters, so naturally I was a bit nervous beforehand but after meeting this wonderful couple i was totally put at ease and knew my fur babies would be in the very best hands! Julieanne and Alan did a wonderful job housesitting for us while we were away on holiday. They were easy to communicate with and even came a day early to meet us, our dog, and to set up at the house. They kindly got us some milk & eggs for our arrival home and stayed an extra night so we could catch up the following morning before they headed off on their next adventure. We just got home today and it was so lovely to come home to a spotless house and happy, well cared for pets. We had Julieanne and Allan look after our house and numerous pets ranging from our dogs to a yabby tank and a blue tongue lizard for 16 days whilst we were on Holliday. Our return found everything in great order and our dogs unconcerned by our arrival { I think they had too good of a time whilst we were away} I would not hesitate to have them house sit again for us or to recommend them for any house sitting positions they apply for.

Today we have returned from Japan, and Alan and Julieanne have cared for our home and pets for 9 days. They are a delightful couple, so warm and friendly and we felt very confident leaving them to care for our property. They sleep in their own van, but also left our home spotless, and even prepared lunch for us on our return which was so appreciated after an all night flight. My husband and I had the pleasure of having Julieanne and Allan house sit for us in April 2019 for 3 weeks. Julieanne and Allan were a delight from the start. They are very easy going and helpful. They are great communicators and really cared for our house and animals. Especially our sometimes not so easy dog.
