We are a professional couple that loves animals and is very experienced in caring for them. We are starting our fifth year on aussiehousesitters.com.au, and we can say that housesitting and petsitting have become part of our lifestyle, and we have been enjoying it throughout. We like the variety and getting to know different suburbs, new people (well, Lenka is an anthropologist), and their furry friends. It feels like constantly being on a journey while we can pursue our careers, studies and passions here in Melbourne- our home of the last ten years.

We have an extensive experience with both large and small dog breeds and cats, including old animals that require the administration of medication (incl. injections). We have also experienced many sits with multiple animals, including horses and chickens, at both large properties and small apartments.

One of our core values is to respect other living beings' environment and habitat. We will apply that principle when caring for your home and pet(s). We understand how important it is for owners to trust and allow someone unknown into their own well-manicured and valued personal space. We appreciate all of this and always prioritise cherishing others' homes and pets with the highest respect. We always leave your home clean and prepared, so you can only drop bags and unwind upon return. Clean, caring and kind, that's what we are.

We can provide 24/7 attention to your precious fur baby as we work mainly from home, so we can hang around, walk, cuddle and talk to your pet during the day. On weekends, we offer to take your doggies for our day outings in nature, on the beach or hanging out at home. Either way, we always respect the established routines that your pet is used to and follow the instructions you leave us with.

We are both practical and flexible and thus can handle any ad hoc situation. We have a proven record of being able to adjust to unpredictable situations (hello, Covid-19 era).

Lenka and Jorge did such a wonderful job looking after our home, garden and fur babies. They are both very personable, generous and trustworthy. Most days we received photos and videos of our dog Cuba and cat Misty, this really helped us relax on our holiday. Jorge house-sat for me as a solo. I found Jorge to be very professional and respectful but most importantly he beautifully cared for and interacted with my cat Kara. Kara was given a lot of attention and Jorge periodically sent photos and videos of her via WhatsApp. He looked after the house well and was in regular contact. I would happily have Jorge house sit again and recommend him to others.

They did a great job of looking after our cat, who is quite timid, over the 6 months stay - she seemed well loved and was calm and relaxed when we returned. We were away for three weeks and they had to look after our 2 cats, 3 parrots, 11 chickens and a flock of finches as well as maintaining our jungle of a yard. Lenka and Jorge looked after our dog and house for six months. It was originally for 4 weeks but then COVID-19 hit and we ended up staying a lot longer than expected. Although we lost a few remotes due to our naughty youngest beagle that is just part of life with her, always be on alert! Lenka & Jorge are terrific house sitters. They cared for my dog and house diligently, looking after my dog as if she was their own. Folly just loved them and was so well cared for. She got lots of walks, hugs and beach time. She has missed them since they left. I received lots of photos while I was away. Everything was excellent including a warm welcome home. Lenka and Jorge were excellent house sitters and, more importantly, loved by my older dog, Teah. She's missing them and sulking now that they are gone (my feelings aren't hurt at all, no!) They were brave and I was pleased to say they came through perhaps not unscathed and now very experienced. It was a big job for them in very cold weather. Lenka and Jorges proved to be an excellent choice to house/dog sit whilst we sojourned overseas. Our fur babies loved them and they were diligent with walking duties. The house was clean with our bed all made ready for us and doggy coats all freshly washed when we returned. Yes definitely use again if they are still house sitting in 2020
