Hi, we are Sue & Dave Pearse, an active Aussie couple enjoying retirement by house sitting and travelling around the world full time. Our calendar for 2024 is filling up however we still have some time blocks available.
We are non-smoking, genuine & experienced carers of domestic animals as well as confident & capable property managers.
Since July 2015 we've been helping over 100 home owners enjoy their own travels by looking after their homes, while caring for and nurturing over 100 dogs, 65 cats, parrots, an aviary of backyard birds, around 40 fish, a handful of chooks and a chinchilla in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Europe, Turkiye, SE Asia, Canada, USA and Mexico.
With our 4 adult children now living their own established lives we decided to pack up our home to go out and enjoy the freedom and flexibility of traveling wherever we choose.
We have great affection for animals and love being around them. Staying in a home with pets gives us great joy. We enjoy the opportunity to provide care & comfort for animals and peace of mind to home owners, that their pets and home will be very well protected and loved while away.
When we travel we prefer to stay in one place for a while so we can become thoroughly connected with the spirit and culture of the local neighbourhood. Preparing our own meals is really important to us as we both enjoy healthy food and spending time in the kitchen and around the home.
Being homeowners ourselves we fully appreciate the responsibilities of caring for other people's pets and properties. We are very considerate and respectful of the homes we look after, and keep the properties clean and well maintained.
Having worked in luxury accommodation/hospitality businesses and managing a quality Noosa holiday resort for some time, we've had many interesting and challenging experiences, dealing with all kinds of people, events (crises) and property maintenance issues. This means we have the confidence and experience to deal with whatever comes our way.
Our needs are simple: a clean, comfortable and safe home with well behaved animals to love and spend time with. Oh, and good internet!

Sue and Dave were my first dog sitters and I couldn't have had a better first experience. They made me feel at ease that Charlie would be well looked after from the beginning, and provided lots of updates on how much fun he was having. I highly recommend Sue and Dave for all your house sitting needs. They were very professional and easy to communicate with and looked after my cat and the house as if they were their own. They even dealt with a house maintenance issue that occurred while I was away. When I came home the house was spotless and the gardening had been done. I would have no hesitations in having Sue and Dave house sit again in the future.
I was so lucky to have Sue and Dave as housesitters for my two cocker spaniels. Don't hesitate to try and book them for your next house sit! We had excellent communication prior and during the house sit, I came home to a spotless home, lovely vase of flowers, chicken soup in the fridge, and a couple of beautifully cared for dogs. Important also to me were the photos that Sue and Dave sent to me during their house sit. I recommend them highly!

Dave and Sue were above and beyond what we expected house sitters would be. This was our first time leaving our beloved fur babies and home for such a long time, They dealt with the issues our home in QLD sprung up over the summer, kept in touch with us and sent pics and videos of our Morag and Archie.
They obviously enjoyed being with our dogs and the dogs certainly enjoyed the love and attention in return.
We wouldn't hesitate to have them back to housesit again.
We were lucky enough to secure Dave and Sue to house sit for us during their trip around Tasmania. They were fabulous. Communication was open and very easy it was great getting updates on how our boys were going! The house was left perfectly. It was perfect coming home to well cared for, content excited dogs and a beautiful bunch of my favourite flowers on the bench. Sue and Dave looked after our house and our 12 month old Labrador dog Ruby for a month while we were on a overseas holiday. They kept in constant contact with us via WhatsApp sending photos and videos almost daily of Ruby. They handled due bills after consultation with us. I couldn't have found better than Housesitters sue and Dave. Meeting them before I went away just put my mind at ease that my fur babies and home was in excellent hands. They were friendly, easygoing and a delight to deal with. My cats were smothered with love and attention (including befriending my skittish fur baby!), my garden well looked after and my home was left exactly as I left it. It was all so easy.... ! I had never had my house sit before and was a little nervous but Sue and Dave made me very comfortable from the thirst time we talked. They are kind people who took a great care of my pets and house.

Dave & Sue was over to take care of my lhasa apso boy Truffles, and a new axolotl friend for a week. Truffles was in love with Sue right away (he prefers pretty ladies) and I was totally comfortable leaving the pup under their care. He was out for walks daily and and I am glad that his daily routine wasn't upset at all. Furthermore, Sue sends me daily snippets in a video which I enjoy watching over and over! Sue and Dave have been the best house sitters we have ever had.They looked after our lovely labradoodle to the highest possible standard giving her lots of love and attention.I don't think she even noticed we were not there!

Sue & dave looked after my wee cottage , my dog dog Ruby & kitten Maddi for 5 days.
They were absolutely wonderful, I never worried at all whilst I was away.
It was wonderful to come home to a tidy house and very happy pets.

For us it was an absolute privilege to have Dave and Sue look after our home and much loved dogs, one of whom is very timid which creates its own problem with strangers. They kept us informed on a daily basis with photos and texts of obviously happy dogs. Dave and Sue are lovely, down to earth, genuine caring people. Sue and Dave house sat for us in September 2015. They are a lovely couple, reliable, trustworthy and paid attention to all the small details. Our pets loved them and so did we, on our return the house was clean, pets brushed and a lovely vase of hand picked flowers to welcome us. Sue and Dave Pearse house sat for us recently in our home in Richmond. They were really easy to communicate with and were very willing to work in with our plans.
They looked after our elderly Jack Russell and our cat over a few days whilst we were out of town.
