I am based in the NSW Northern Rivers area and move between Sydney and Townsville too. I enjoy housesitting as a way of combining two of my greatest passions in life: animals and experiencing different places and spaces.
Originally a home-owner in Sydney I began house-sitting after selling my apartment in the Inner West several years ago and loved the lifestyle of moving around and looking after people's pets and houses. I treat people's homes with respect and appreciate the trust that people place in me when they ask me to house-sit.
In Sydney I had a cat-sitting business so I have lots of experiences with all kinds of kitties with all kinds of personalities!
I also like dogs and enjoy walking so I can be a good match for people who have a pooch. I've done several house-sits where I had some canine companionship including a Jack Russell, two cavoodles, and a Golden Retriever. Through my cat-sitting business and housesitting I've occasionally looked after some fish, chickens, and rabbits.
Apart from bushwalking/neighbourhood walking I enjoy art, architecture, reading, writing, swimming, movies and meeting new people. Although I like to go out and see what's around me I also like relaxing at 'home' too.
It's my pleasure to look after a home, pets, and water pot-plants/gardens (although I don't profess to be a green thumb!) and I find it very satisfying when people come home and are happy with how I've looked after their home and their beloved furry family.

Christine was an excellent housesitter. It was clear she looked after my fur bub very well. I came home and he was happy.

We loved having Christine housesit for us. She took wonderful care of Morris, our cat, as well as our 2 chickens, sending regular updates and photos.
The house was in perfect condition when we returned, Morris was happy, and we felt comfortable knowing that everything has been well looked after.

Christine looked after my cat and apartment for 4 nights. She was amazing and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a housesitter. My cat is a rescue and usually very timid but he warmed up to her instantly and she sent me pictures of him having cuddles with her on the couch! Christine kept the place lovely and clean and I wouldnt hesitate to have her back again. Thanks Christine!
Christine was a wonderful sitter for our three cats, who are all quite different and require a range of strategies to manage. The cats were all very chilled upon our return, and Christine provided updates and photos while we were away. Christine was very easy to communicate with before and during the sit, and left our home clean and tidy. We would welcome Christine again as a sitter, and recommend her to anyone else who wants their pets and home looked after as if they were her own.
Christine was like a breath of fresh air coming into our home. She went out of her way to communicate and be send photos and to reassure us. She left the place cleaner than she found it and was great with our cats.
With a house sitter looking after your pets, house and garden - you can really relax. Happy days.
