72, Retired
I am from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
A retired registered nurse of forty plus years experience (in Australia and the UK), have been a Reiki Teacher and practitioner for twenty years, and have taught various meditation and sound therapies. I am active, responsible, single.
I am well-travelled and independent, passionate about nature and experiencing life in different places.
I enjoy meditation, reading, photography, Tai Chi and Qigong, painting, building Labyrinths, internet, and playing Reverie Harp.
Communication is important and I am available to meet you via Skype, or any other video means, or in person if local, prior to house-sitting, and at any time throughout the house-sit, as often as you would prefer.
Perhaps you would even like to Skype with your pets occasionally? No problem! You will be kept updated via any means preferred, and as often as you choose.
Why I want to house sit
Combining my love of travel and animals, my flexible retirement allows me the freedom to explore new places, and meet many new people and animals.
I am passionate about travelling, meeting locals, swapping experiences, views, conversation, knowledge.
I love to wander in new places, especially in nature.
I do miss having pets and a garden of my own and am most grateful for the opportunity and pleasure of caring for your's, whilst helping you out also.
I can honestly say that I love watering, too!
I think that staying in a local home is far better than going to an impersonal hotel.
Having just vacated my rental home and stored my belongings, I am free to be and go anywhere.
Budgeting whilst travelling, I very much also appreciate being able to exchange my services and care of your home and pets, for free accommodation, for mutual benefit.
A win/ win wonderful concept!
Wherever I am is where I call Home!
I look forward to meeting you!
I have, since 2007, years of experience house and pet-sitting, mostly in Australia through word of mouth, with many repeat house sits. References are online. This is the first time I have registered with an online sitter site and am excited at the expanded possibilities presented.
I have always had family dogs, birds, fish and at times guinea pigs, as part of our family.
At times have had very ill dogs...and fish!...to care for during a house-sit, once as the result of snakebite. My nursing care came in handy!
I have a current First Aid Certificate, current Blue Card, and shortly, an Australian National Police Clearance. I have volunteer experience with Riding for Disabled (RDA), Sunshine Coast, Qld, which I love to do.
I am a non smoker, and have my own car and current driver's licence. I can adjust to whatever situation presents. I am very calm, clean, tidy, quiet and organised.
I would care for your home and your pets as I would my own.
