- From October 2018 until first CV lockdown in March 2020 , travelled 55000 kms by road leisurely exploring Australia following the passing of beloved Blue Heeler,Rich, & Kelpie,Alfie. This was while taking time out from being a criminal jury trial barrister in Melbourne and a long career as a criminal lawyer
-Grounded and practical
-Multi-skilled in many areas (including qualified in Viticulture,Charles Sturt University conferred April 2005)

-Come equipped with totally zen co-pilot, 10yo rescued Greyhound, The Adorable Mr Fish,who is not feared by any wild, domestic or farm animal.We hope to care for pigs,alpacas, camels & deer sometime to add to our Profile

-Fish Cake did not race and his DNA puts him decidedly at the bottom of any pecking order. He and owner have been together for 8.5 yrs and are both house trained and domesticated (please see reviews)

-Have had much experience,especially since 2015 , caring in my home for up to 6 dogs at a time while owners were away. The stays always included a walk with my pack & were for as short as one day to as long as 7 weeks
- these happy lodgers have been a range of dogs of all breeds, sizes & ages including Labradors,Golden Retrievers, Poodles (standard,mini,teacup), Pointers,more Kelpies, Beagliers,whippets (English & American) more Greyhundts, Irish, Cairn & FoxTerriers,more Blue Heelers and many hybrids from many undefined gene pools... all harmoniously cohabiting
- many became & have become devoted regulars at Mr Fishie's Canine Cabana

All of my sits have involved caring for pets,many other animals and extensive veg/fruit plots during stays at KI, SA; Qld; Tas & NSW.

For example :

- calving Droughtmaster stud cattle, working cattle dogs and just whelped pups (6) and horses. The pups were 6wks old & needed supplementary feeding and considerable care and attention almost around the clock
- several gorgeous horses requiring feeding & rugging , one of whom thought she was an indoor horse & kept coming into my digs
- a herd of goats in Royal George,Tas ( including new Mums & kids requiring supplementary feeding ) plus horses,cats x3 & dogs x3 ......
all in together with my lovely Fish Cake
- many sheep (keeping the water up to them), 4 donkeys, 6 horses (one required daily Tuffrock poultice application), working dogs,cats, much poultry near Berridale in the Snowys

After Covid travel restrictions eased at the end of 2021, Mr Fish & I were finally able to spend more time relieving itchy feet & paws doing sits near Brisbane,Port Stephens, Berridale (see above) ,Pymble,Sydney & K.I, We have already added another 15K kms to our resume over the last 12 mos.
