We are a retired couple. We sold our house on the Gold Coast in May 2019 and are now travelling around Australia in our new 18'6 caravan. Because the caravan is our home now we need to be able to park our caravan at the place we are petminding. We started off travelling with our blue cattle dog Ice but we lost her in the first month due to a damaged spine. We really missed the company of our dog so we decided to start looking after other peoples dog's (and other animals). We want to find house sits were we can share our love for animals and get to know new places. We can be where we are needed if we are in your area. We are currently on the Gold Coast and have bookings untill end of May. We will be unavailable for sitting untill mid September as we will go overseas.

We are happy to go the extra mile to accommodate the needs and 'special needs' of your pets and keep them in their routine. We have cared for xxs and xxl dogs and we enjoyed them all. They spoilt them rotten.
Communication was fantastic,with messages and photos being sent every day.
They also were so obliging when I had to ask them if they could stay an extra night.
I would definitely recommend them and use them again if they ever are back this way.

We couldn't have asked for better sitters with Joke and Russ. They are both so warm and friendly and made the process an absolute breeze. Our pup is very needy and likes constant care and Joke and Russ definitely delivered. They fussed over our dog and two cats like their own and their love of animals is evident. Joke And Russell did a great job housesitting for us, and as pet carers (or worker for Gus Cat). We were more than happy with the sit. The communication was great right from the first contact and during the sit, with lots of updates and pics of our dog and cat. Also check in’s with likes of our dog. We really struck gold here! What an amazing couple. Right from the start both Russel and Joke were dedicated. Indi fell in love with them and you could tell the feeling was mutual. They both did a fabulous job of maintaining our house while we were away, even cleaning the windows. A job I hate! The garden was well cared for and the house was meticulous.

Joke and Russell were such a beautiful couple. From the moment we met them, both ourselves and our dogs felt extremely comfortable. Communication was brilliant, we even had daily photos sent to us of our pups with little updates. Joke had no problem in giving medicines to our GSD who recently came out of surgery (tablets, ear drops, etc) and kept us updated with any concerns she had straight away. These two are amazing hosts. They clearly love animals and our pets were all relaxed and happy when we got home. They took great care of our home and left it spotless. Joke sent lots of pictures and updates throughout our trip and even went above & beyond to pick up mail at the post office a few times.

I can not thank Joke & Russell enough. The whole 3 weeks i was away they were sending me photos of my fur baby and messages. They are the perfect house sitters and will look after your house and animals, if they were there own. Clean & tidy ,spotless , they even cleaned out windows Jorja my 15yr old beagle took to them straight away . I would have them back in a ❤️ heart beat. I still keep in contact with them.

It was an absolute joy to come home to happy, happy dog and well cared for house. All communication was so easy with Joke and Russell who were very accommodating with all our requests and instructions. Our only problem is we now have our dog sitting at the front door waiting for them to come back. We would gladly recommend them for any house sitting stay

Third time that we have had Joke and Russ stay at our home and car for the animals. House was left beautifully clean and well looked after.
My Weimeraner had a lump show up while we were away and Joke made sure to update on its progress/change and would have taken to the vets if needed urgent care.

Joke & Russ are excellent house & pet sitters. They went above and beyond and exceeded all our expectations. We cannot recommend them highly enough. Their care and attention to the dogs and the cat was wonderful, Our cat even gained a bit of weight and that’s a good thing.
The house was immaculate and the garden was thriving when we got home.

Wow, what can I say about Joke and Russ, they are as close to perfect house sitters as you can get.
The house was actually cleaner than when I left it, the gardens and plants are flourishing. But most of all the dogs Molly and Fred sulked for a day after they left. Watching how they interacted with them both before we left and when we returned highlighted what animal lovers they are.
Joke sent us lots of photos and videos of them while we were away.

We were privileged to have Joke and Russ look after our property and especially our German shepherd Beau for 2 weeks recently whilst we were away. Beau is 15 years old and requires daily medication and lots of love and cuddles which both Joke and Russ showed their dedication even giving him scones and cream to entice him to eat. Another wonderful house sit by Joke & Russ !
We have used Joke & Russ for the second time - they have cared for our 6 month old puppy and older dog and cat for the 2 weeks while we were away. We had limited communications so we had to make sure we could 100% trust Joke & Russ.
They left our house spotless , washing windows and cleaned out the fridge (& the oven :D) thank you so so much one again for letting us to enjoy our holiday away without worrying about the animals / our house.

Joke and Russ were a dream come true. They are such lovely people - very down to earth, sincere, kind, funny, generous, honest and obliging. Communication was great from the onset and throughout the house sit. I must mention they took very special care of my dog, Charlee and complied with her medical needs not to mention smothered her with affection. We where very happy to have Joke and Russ care for our dog and house sit for us. We came home to a spotless house and yard, home cooked meal and a slightly spoiled dog. He has been moping around since they left. We would highly recommend this couple. Only hope they can come back again.
Joke and Russ were fabulous. From the first meeting I knew my dogs (babies) were going to be in safe hands. The dogs absolutely loved them and waited at the door for several days after they had left.
My house was immaculate when I got home they had cleaned several windows and glass doors and I'm ashamed to say my oven.

Well we hit the jackpot with Joke and Russ as our house/pet sitters!! Absolutely wonderful people who cared for our animals and house as though it were theirs. The house and garden looked better than when we left and I think all of the animals are still feeling depressed at their departure!

Today we said goodbye to two wonderful people, our house sitters Joke and Russell. From the moment we placed our request for a sitter and Joke and Russell responded their communication with us could not be faulted. After a few false starts due to COVID we finally left on our holiday, with peace of mind knowing our house and our cat Buttons were being well looked after. Joke (pronounced "Yoka") and Russ are absolutely brilliant. They loved the dogs (all animals really) as if they were their own -- and Great Danes are a handful -- and kept us stress-free with lots of Messenger pictures of the dogs happy and healthy. When we got home, the house was the cleanest it's ever been! We couldn't recommend these two highly enough.
If you get a chance, ask Joke to make her world-famous tomato soup.

We found Joke and Russell great house sitters, they looked after our 2 dogs, cat and chickens brilliantly. They kept in contact with us, sending photos and updates. The house was also nice and clean when we got back. We would recommend them for a house sit without any hesitation. Great people.

We have just used Joke and Russ for our first ever Aussie House Sitters experience and have just absolutely LOVED it. We have never felt more at ease leaving our house to two trusted human beings, while being on the other side of the country.
