We had two dogs and a cat over a sixteen year period, which were part of the family.
Being born on a farm, I am experienced with most animals.
I was involved in the livestock industry for twenty years, managing a branch for a livestock company in a regional centre, and my wife was teaching.
We decided on a career change, when our youngest left school, and became involved in the Hospitality Industry, managing hotels, before retiring.
We are both keen gardeners and lawn bowlers, enjoy travelling, love a good movie, particular about the presentation of our home, reliable, and confident and caring with animals and pets.
I also enjoy fishing when I get a chance.
We cared for 2 beautiful Blue Heelers at Salonika Beach (south east of Mackay) for 16 weeks, 3 furry friends at Mt Coolum & 2 cuties at Bagara.
Last year we looked after a small cattle property near Gympie, with dogs, horses chooks etc & this year again house sat for the people from Salonika Beach who have moved to Burrum Heads and have become friends. All our house sits have been so positive & enjoyable.

Mick and Kathy cared for our dog like he was their own. They were very easy to communicate with. The garden looked amazing when we returned and the house was clean and tidy like no one had even been in it. Excellent sitters and would highly recommend them.

We can highly recommend Mick and Kathy as the best house sitters. They looked after our Doberman and Lab x like their own. They also took the greatest care of our horses and cattle as well as our chooks and gardens. What an absolute treat to come home to a spotless house and mowed lawns and all the animals so happy. We strongly recommend Mick & Kathy as house/pet sitters. Our dogs loved them. The house was in immaculate condition upon our return. They both joined in with friends and neighbours and they have been commended during our absence. I wish they would return for our next holiday.
