We have a 29-foot Fifth Wheeler caravan, which we live in when not house sitting. We would prefer to keep it near us.
Please note in our referrals, Miss Rosey (our dog) is mentioned. She is no longer traveling with us as she passed away in August 2020.
Michael and I have been house-sitting on and off now for 8 years, hitting the road back in January 2015 to travel Australia. We have experience with various types of homes and with a large variety of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, cows, horses, goats, and other farm animals. Michael has experience with various types of lawn equipment, including ride-on mowers, and small tractors.
We are house-proud and will therefore look after your home the way you would expect. We know how hard it is trying to get away when you have pets that you love or gardens that need maintenance. We are both active people, enjoying our love of cycling, and would consider it a privilege to care for your home, pets, and property.
We are both non-smokers, double vaccinated, and are both actively fit.
We can supply character references also if required, as well as referrals on this website.
Michael has police checks for security purposes working with the Defense Force, and Arlene has a current working with Children Authority (NSW).
We have both been involved with various volunteer organizations spanning several years, like Scouts, Arts and Crafts, Student exchange programs, and sports clubs. We have both held committee positions in all of these organizations.

Arlene and Michael have been absolutely amazing, Billy and Kiki have been so well looked after, with plenty of walks, games and interactions. So nice to come home to groomed gardens, a tidy house and a home cooked meal after travelling for a month. Thank you Arlene and Michael, it has been so wonderful to meet you and so appreciate your love for animals.

Arlene and Michael were fantastic. They were really engaging in the lead up and asked lots of questions and were well prepared. Our primary reason for a housesitters was for our dogs which are our world. We received updates and photos and felt they were safe and sound. We returned to a very clean house and happy pups and the communication throughout was easy. Thank you.

Would highly recommend Michael & Arlene for any housesit they took great care of our place , dogs & chickens while we were a way in NZ seeing family , fantastic communication , house was nice and tidy when we got home and was so lovely to come home to a home cook meal for dinner an even breakfast after being away for nearly 3 weeks , thank again guys & dogs loved having you both around and miss all the attention safe travels :-)
So happy that I made this successful &lovely connection with Michael&Arlene! Routine household duties &aspects carried out accordingly; trash/recycling, TV/Wifi, mail collection, day-to-day living. Arlene and Michael were wonderful house sitters. They were very flexible and accommodating. We asked them to come early which they did, so we got to know them, and we left for vacation feeling very secure. Daisy, our dog took to them immediately. They kept the house very neat and tidy and kept in touch during our time away. We felt that, had there been an emergency they would have been very capable of handling it. We would definitely have them back if they were available!
Arlene and Michael were the best house sitters ever, the dogs absolutely loved them and were very spoilt. It was a big ask of them to look after our farm, 4 horses, 60 cows and 2 bulls and they did it amazingly. The house was lovely and clean and I would not hesitate to have them again anytime.

Arlene and Michael were great caring for our animals. Meelo seemed very comfortable with them and I think he misses them too. They gave him plenty of exercise, love and affection. They were also kind enough to pick and drop us off at the airport which was super generous of them. We would recommend anyone to entrust their pets to Arlene and Michael :)
I was delighted with the care Arlene and Michael took of my fur and feathered family. The house was well looked after, lawns mowed (a bonus) and we had good communications both before and during the sit. I felt very comfortable leaving my critters in their care and would have no hesitation recommending them for other sits.
We had such a positive experience with Arlene and Micheal when they looked after our animals garden and home for a few weeks recently. They left our home immaculate, even taking the trouble to mop our expansive wooden deck and washing the dog bedding. We cannot rate this couple high enough, when they applied for our house sit they knew that our expectations were set very high and they did not disappoint in any way. Arlene and Michael were wonderful house sitters, who cared for our house, garden, dogs and chickens. They kept our gardens tidy, lawns mowed and animals very happy. They walked our dogs every day and took great care of them. The house was exactly as we left it when we returned. We would happily have them back again and would recommend them to anyone looking for a sitter.
We loved having Michael and Arlene look after our two fur babies (a large but loveable dog and low maintenance cat).
From the beginning of our communication they were very accommodating as we tried to work with the uncertainty that surrounds planning a holiday during Covid.

Arlene and Michael were exceptional housesitters. Communication was consistently responsive, and reassuring, whether in planning the sit, while we were travelling overseas, or on return. We were able to leave the home, property and animals confidently once we met with them, and saw their capacity, experience and willingness to step up to any challenge.
We returned to a clean home, plants alive and well, and our animals more than well cared for.

Arlene and Michael took such good care of our dog Charlie and cat Nala when we were away. Just knowing they were in good hands, being well fed and going on walks, gave us great peace of mind. We were given feedback as to how they were going which also put us at peace and our house was kept immaculate. They are amazing sitters, and we will be recommending their services to all. We returned to two very content animals who will miss them and Miss Rosey, their lovely dog.

During their stay, they encountered multiple issues (like breaking kitchen taps and Sydney Water demanding access to replace a meter they couldn't find and a normally well behaved cat that decided to protest our absence by choosing random toilet areas around the house - yuk!) - they took it all in stride. Arlene and Michael have stayed at our place twice - last year for 3 months and this year for 2 months. During some of this time we were also at home, between trips.
At all times our house and pets have been looked after beautifully. Last year it wasn't so easy, as we were in drought conditions, and our pet goats had to be hand fed twice a day. Arlene and Michael house sat our property for 8 months in 2016 (Feb to Oct). During that time we returned twice to share with therm for a few days at a time. We can only recommend the White's as honest and reliable sitters who we found took great care of our property. They have a pet (Rosie) and you would not know that she was with them.
