We are from Bellingen, on the Mid North Coast of NSW. When our now adult sons moved out of home to study and work, then our elderly big brown dogs sadly passed away - to combat empty nest syndrome we decided to rent out our home and see Australia (camping and housesitting) before we were blessed with more pets AND grandchildren.
We are quiet, tidy, honest, calm, capable, reliable people. We have had police checks, are non-smokers and can provide personal and house-sit references.
Our experience includes: Dogs (puppies to oldies) - small through to giant breeds, various breeds of cats from kittens to the elderly, rabbits, mice, a one eyed emu, mobs of rescued kangaroos, a few snakes, milking goats, sheep, alpacas and an elderly cheeky horse.
Birds -budgies, weiros, parrots, chooks, hand fed a rescued baby tawny frogmouth.
Tanks/Fish - garden ponds, indoor tanks, huge pools of koi. Hermit crabs, axolotls.
High maintenance gardens to low maintenance bush blocks, many sizes and styles of pools.
We love animals and enjoy a little gardening. We have a lot of experience with house/pet sitting and regularly had house sitters care for our own pets, home and garden so we may have some understanding of your needs.
Great experience for us using aussie housesitters for first time. Michelle and Josh made our stay away a worry free holiday and came home to happy/tired dogs and a spotless house. Love to have them back sometime.

We were very happy with Michelle and Josh who provided excellent care to our pets, home and garden and we received regular updates and photos from Michelle which was great! We returned home to happy dogs, cat and a clean house and pool. Would highly recommend them for future house sits.
Double thumbs up to Michelle and Josh. It's nice to come home and find that the house has been cared for and the puppies obviously looked after, possibly even a little spoiled. Just enough updates whilst we were away that we knew not to worry. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent housesitters and genuinely nice people.
Michelle & Josh are the perfect house sitters. We can't rate them highly enough. We came home to an ultra perfect house and garden. Our dog Ralph , although pleased to see us, missed Michelle and Josh so much. They loved and cared for him totally. Michelle & Josh were perfect house and pet sitters. Right from our first contact I was confident that our fur babies were going to be loved and cared for while we were away. Finding such a great fit is comforting and let us actually enjoy our holidays. Michelle sent regular updates and photos about our dogs and followed all our specific care needs for our pets. This was my first time using a pet sitter and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. After just one phone conversation with Michelle I was put at ease knowing my fur baby and home were going to be in safe hands. This was our first time getting house sitters. The moment I spoke to Michelle I felt at ease about the whole process. We would get Michelle & Josh back in a heart beat. The communication was excellent, we got regular photos of our fur babies. We came home to a immaculate home & pool. They are without a doubt the people you want to care for your home & pets.

This is the second time that Michelle and Josh have sat for us and cannot fault them. Great at dealing with disasters such as hot water system leaking and filling up music room which involved raising up a piano, moving out furniture etc. with no residual damage to anything but water marks on carpet.
Certain will have them housesit again that is if they can fit us into their very busy schedule.
We had Michelle and Josh take care of our home and 2 very much loved cocker spaniels.
Our home and hounds were absolutely perfect when we arrived home. I would recommend them highly to anyone and certainly hope we get the opportunity to have them again.

Belatedly, we send an endorsement for Michelle and Josh for the loving care and attention they lavished on our rehab animals and bird. It was great to get away for 3 weeks knowing we had such reliable people to take care of our place and sooooo good to come home after a long drive to a neat and tidy house, just walk in and relax with a cuppa.

I was so lucky that Michelle and Josh agreed to come to Yuendumu to house sit for me for two months; they are such caring and responsible people and looked after my home and my pets so well, especially Grace, Lily and Lou (the pets). They were also interested in the community of Yuendumu and they are remembered fondly. Should the opportunity arise I would like to think they would come back and I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone considering them for house sitting.
Michelle and Josh did a fabulous job taking care of our dog Sweep and our home for 7 weeks over Christmas. They went above and beyond what a house sitter would expect to do by watching our oldest child the night before we left when we had to take our youngest to the hospital. We have used Michelle & Josh to house sit twice for us. Michelle contacted me promptly after posting my add and we chatted about our large family of animals and what was required. They turned up and met with our large rather difficult dog to get along with twice before house sitting. Our dog is not a liker of men in particular and I was a little concerned he may be hard for Josh to handle. Michelle and Josh looked after our house and our two dogs for five weeks over June / July 2014. We had never used a house sitting service before and we couldn't be happier with the experience we have had.
