Hi,
My name is Amanda and I've been House Sitting for many years throughout Western Australia, Darwin, Queensland and Victoria. As a Writer of Poetry and Children's Short Stories I can always be found sitting quietly reading or writing. Your pets will only be alone, when I need to go out for supplies. Many Owners call me an Animal Whisperer, because of my ability to relate and communicate with animals of all ages and sizes. I have a fondness for Elephants adopting two Orphans, Mapia a lovely male and Kiasa a cheeky female, living in Africa.
I am a non-smoking vegetarian, who loves life and gardening, so your plants will continue to thrive in my care. I don't have a car mainly because I prefer public transport or walking, especially when I sit all over Australia.

Amanda is a very experienced pet and house sitter. She looked after our pet turtle and two small dogs (including one elderly dog requiring medication) for 10 days and we were so happy with the attention they got. Amanda took them out for regular walks, ensured medication was provided accurately and got to know them so well. Our house was so clean and tidy when we returned. Amanda was a great house sitter! Our furry daughter Lucy loved her and made a connection straight away. Amanda kept the house clean and tidy and in fact did some gardening for us which as a lovely surprise to come home to. Amanda was easy to communicate with and kept us updated with Lucy photos whilst we were away which was really nice. Our pets thoroughly enjoyed being looked after by Amanda. I was not able to meet her prior to the sit as she was sitting out of area. She arrived the night before I left and our dog Bonnie welcomed her like an old friend. I took that as a very good sign. She is a warm and friendly person. The house was kept clean, neat and tidy. Although we didn't meet Amanda until the day we left on our holiday, we immediately felt at ease with her and could see our cocker spaniel warming up to her. Amanda communicated well whilst we were away and sent through a couple of pics. We would have no problems recommending her and hope that one day she can sit for us again. Amanda was a fabulous house and pet sitter and I have no hesitation in recommending her. My house was cleaner than I left it, the garden and outdoor space were very tidy and my pets had obviously been very well cared for. Amanda also kept me updated with pictures. Amanda was fantastic, she was very easy to deal with, took wonderful care of our beautiful girls and as a bonus cleaned up and weeded our garden, such a lovely surprise to come home to. Both our beautiful golden Tricks and Piper loved her. We would definitely book Amanda for our next house sit, she was great.

Amanda was able to look after my two dogs and home for a month. The house and dogs were all in excellent shape when I got home, it appears the dogs were sadder to see her go than to see me come home! Amanda did a fabulous job and also did some gardening and all in all everything was just wonderful. I have no hesitation in recommending her at all and have booked her again for next holidays.
