Hi ... John Harrison here ...

I am currently living in Launceston (most of the time) and now freelance as a graphic artist.

Fifteen years ago, I retired from the Queensland Symphony Orchestra in which I spent nearly forty years as a player.

Early in 2016 I left Brisbane to live in Tasmania.

I would be house sitting as a single.

I've had experience with caring for all sorts of pets and am a keen gardener.

I don't smoke and am physically fit.

During the last five years I've sat house for families in Cambridge, Richmond, Wynyard, Wilmot, Dover, Huonville, Launceston and Hobart city. All were satisfied with my stays ... Please refer to 'my endorsements ' for a reference from Dan and Lori. You could also phone Mary and Liz, for whom I housesat recently - 03 6234 9489.
Note: if I'm not involved in a housesit, I'm available to sit anywhere in Tasmania at very short notice should the need arise from a house owner (last minute cancellations for instance). I prefer longer sits but am quite okay about very short sits ... even just a few days ...

No rating John did an excellent job looking after our home and many animals. We could not have asked for a better house sitter. We came home to a lovely clean house, mowed and tended gardens and happy and relaxed animals. John was very easy to communicate with and very thoughtful, responsive and accommodating. We would highly recommend John to look after your home and animals. Thank you John for doing such a wonderful job, it allowed us to have a really great, much needed break.

We had to leave the country for medical reasons VERY suddenly and John was the first responder so snagged the position. That timeliness, and his flexibility, are John's strongest points. No rating John did a wonderful job looking after our large dog and inside cat for 5 weeks. He was very responsive when communicating online and gave us updates so we could enjoy our holiday away. We came back home to two very happy and content animals. He was very flexible with our changing circumstances, increasing the length of stay and even a change of house. We would definitely recommend John to look after your pets and home.
