We are planning to visit our son OS from 2nd December to 5th January 2011. We have a lovely home on 5 acres only 5 mins from Bathurst CBD, all the benefits of rural life within the city limits. Bathurst is 2 1/2 hour drive west from Sydney and is located on the western rail line. Pop is 40,000 and has all the services expected of a city.
Our home is very well maintained and loved. We have one dog( Spencer) a springer spaniel, who is an outside boy and requires the usual care and love, three parrots (Rosie, Samie and Miss Cocky) very low fuss, feed and water twice a week and an inside aquarium feed once a day, no tank maintaince will be necessary. Besides watering a few pot plants around the house two or three times a week the gardens are low maintance and will only require water if very hot and dry. Lawn mowing will be required, we mow about 2 acres which takes around 1 1/2 hours on a ride on mower every 5 to 7 days during summer.

hello - I have 3 x dogs (all small, desexed and about 7-8 years old - 1 x male and 2 x females) They have chosen me at different times over the years when they needed a home and are my close companions.
However I need a holiday and wish to attend the Ubud Writers Festival plus wander through the Balinese mountains from 6th - 19th October 2010.
I need a kind, caring, tidy and clean person or couple who can love and look after my pups and my little house while I am away. I have lots of books, DVDs etc for holiday mode and obviously everything else one would wish to have in ones home for comfortable living conditions.
Depending on the weather and as the garden is heavily mulched
there may only be a need for a weekly watering of the large potplants on the verandah. I have a few indoor plants as well. I would expect the house to be left at the end of the time in the same condition I leave it on my departure - otherwise it would be lovely for the housesitter to feel at home and enjoy their couple of weeks in Braidwood NSW.
The dogs love to be walked of course but then they have a large yard and are ok with one long walk a week out in the paddocks somewhere or on leads around the town.
I like them to sleep inside at night as they are very settled and have their own beds in the living area. I leave them outside during the daytime when i am at work - they have kennels on the verandah in case of inclement weather.

They do not require any walking - in fact I would prefer if they were not walked during our absence. They are usually very hungry - and therefore need someone to feed them once a day and give them pats. Riley and Cindy are both 2.5yrs old and little Blondie is currently 9 months.
Our home would make a perfect holiday for someone looking to get away whilst being close to the Beach and Buderim Forest.
Obviously you must love dogs. The Beagles are 10-13kg and whilst being a smallish dog - they are fully of engergy.

winter months. We also have 2 goats who only require feeding but love it if you have a chat to them and feed them carrots and apples. 8 chooks finish off the menagerie and they provide fresh eggs daily.
In the local area are a few wineries, Lamington National Park and the arts and crafts hub of Mt
Tamborine. Around us, is Beaudesert and the Kerry Valley as well as the Gold Coast and
Brisbane.
Our home is quiet with lovely neighbours who are more than happy to lend a hand if you run into trouble but otherwise will be just as happy to leave you to your own devices.

We live on 8 acres in a little valley, just enough neighbours to not feel isolated but they are far enough away to enjoy your privacy.
There is so much more to say...... the schoolbus stops right in front of the house, the crushing (cane) is on from June to November and there are always jobs avaible. We have 2 beautiful creeks here but rarely get flooded in and if .....not for long.
The neighbours are friendly and helpful, we are a real little comunity here, a mixed bunch of young families and retired couples.
The house is nothing special, one of those old little ones. One room for us, it's not very big and 3 little rooms for the boys. One room is devided by wardrobes to give the 2 boys their own room. The kittchen, livingroom, bathroom and toilet are added on later and we have got a beautiful verandah around 2 sides of the house with the most magnificent view.
The mowing and watering needs to be done but the slashing between the mangoetrees can be done by my father in law who lives 3km down the road. The trees don't need to be looked after, you can just pick what you want when they are full of mangoes.

This will be an ongoing requirement as we go between our premises in Tasmania and Victoria. The next absence after October will be atleast a 6 week period approximately around mid December through to end January 2011 and possibly beyond.
We have a comfortable single storey double fronted timber period style residence comprising three bedrooms, dining room, lounge, covered outdoor area and small rear garden.
There is a long covered driveway and ample room for a sitter's vehicle to be kept off the street if required. House has ducted heating, airconditioner, dishwasher, large plasma tv, wireless internet available.
We are in very close proximity to tram and train (about a 3 minute walk in opposite directions to either), are directly on the bike track, a 15 minute walk to a large shopping precinct. and 5 minute walk to Merry Creek parklands and bicycle track.
We have three beloved cats who will require feeding; two meals a day or more regularly on demand if the sitter is happy to do that.
The cats are happy to be in or out, night or day, and have no special requirements.
There are no special requirements in respect to the house during the cooler months, while the small garden would be needing a little attention over summer/Xmas including picking the ripening plums, apricots and cherries from our trees for your own enjoyment.

We are a professional couple in our 40's who own a travel business and travel overseas usually twice a year. We live in a small community town of about 300 people called Clayton Bay in South Australia, one street back from Lake Alexandrina on the Fleureui Peninsula. We have only have a small local restaurant/general store but the town of Milang which is bigger is 10kms away and another 20kms on from Milang is the major town of Strathalbyn. Clayton Bay is just over 80kms from Adelaide. We have just completed renovating and extending our small 4 bedroom home which is comfy and nice and we have all the modern conveniences such as dishwasher, air-conditioning, etc.
We have two dogs, both female, desexed and house trained. Bonnie is 15 years old, a bit deaf and a medium sized German Coolie and Lizzie is 5 year old small terrier cross who thinks she is partly human. They sleep inside at night and have an enclosed back yard for during the day and require feeding once in the morning and then a treat in the evening. They are treated well and are our main concern for while we are away so we need a person/people who are real dog lovers and understand dogs well. We also have about 15 chickens in a chicken yard that need to be fed once a day, eggs collected and locked up at night to protect them from the foxes. Apart from that there is just minor watering of the vegie garden and a few plants if the weather deems it necessary.
We are looking for someone who does not smoke indoors, is a house proud person who would treat our home with care and respect and someone who will love our animals, in particular our dogs, as they would their own. We are looking for housesitters who are preferably retired or work from home, responsible, active and animal lovers to housesit our comfortable home in the Perth Hills and look after our 2 very excitable, energetic Labrador Xs and one very lazy mature aged cat. Duties would include feeding the animals (of course) and to walk the dogs for approximately an hour every day. Usual household duties, watering of pot plants, but no other major gardening involved. No lawns to mow! Our main concern is the well being of the animals, and as they are used to having someone home most of the day, we would prefer not to change their routine.
References would be highly regarded. Wireless internet available.
Our home is located in the pretty Perth Hills area surrounded by boutique wineries and plenty of bush walks. We are 10 minutes from the quaint village of Kalamunda and about 35 minutes from the centre of Perth. Own transport essential.

We have a lovely air conditioned home in Alice Springs with a wonderful german shepherd called Georgia. Main dutes will be twice daily walks to the local park for Georgia to have a play and run. Garden duties will be mowing, watering and general maintenance.
We are situated about 10 minutes walk to the local pool and about 15 minutes walk to the city centre. The local bus stop is about 5 minutes walk from home. It will be summer time in the Alice and it would be great time to visit some local water holes for a nice swim and see many summer animals. The Ghan goes through the Alice so might be suitable to for someone who wants to visit the red centre without having to pay for accommodation.
The house is fully air conditioned and has four bedrooms with ensuite. Very nice views of the range from the back and front yards.
A very nice time of the year to appreciate the beautiful red desert. The real heart of Australia.
Plenty of space for car and possibly a caravan for those travelling
