The city of Sydney and its surrounding areas is a great place to look into for house sitting. In addition to having many beaches Sydney is home to the world famous Opera House and nine different National Rugby League teams. If you are going to be pet sitting anywhere in New South Wales you should check out the city of Wollongong. This city is home to various mountains with paths that are great for dog walking including Mount Murray and Mount Keira. The Oceanside setting of Wollongong is especially popular among house sitters.

If you are house sitting during the winter months it helps to look into openings in neighbourhoods along the Great Dividing Range. Various skiing areas can be found along the Snowy Mountains here during the winter with many homes being near these areas.

New South Wales (abbreviated as NSW) is Australia's most populous state, located in the south-east of the country, north of Victoria, south of Queensland and east of South Australia.
