Jenny

I'm Jenny, a lifelong pet mother until recently, and I need to spend much of 2023 splitting my time between Melbourne (where I have an elderly mother and family) and Sydney (where my married daughter is based). I prefer to have my own space when I'm away from home for extended periods, so I tried pet sitting for the first time in August 2022 and have continued intermittently since then. I wish I’d discovered it earlier. Not only have I gained new friends in the hosts, but getting to know their pets has been so rewarding and touching, that saying goodbye leaves a real emptiness in my heart. But that's the name of the game, I guess.

I'm a screen-writer and will bring my work with me (thinking of writing a book on my housesitting experiences "The Pets I have loved") so I'll be around most of the time, and the fur babies and I can be a nice source of company for each other. I can maintain gardens (haven't killed a plant yet!) and I'll keep your home clean and will leave it how I found it. But most importantly, I am an animal lover and will provide your precious pets with lots of attention, affection (if they want it) and loving care in their family's absence.
