We are a responsible, clean and tidy, non-smoking Australian couple who have been living on our own yacht and sailing the South Pacific for the last 13 years. Spending significant time in New Zealand during these years we joined the NZ housesitting site back in 2018.
Now having sailed into Brisbane in October 2023 we wish to do the same here.
We enjoy the opportunities housesitting offers; looking after pets and gardens as a change from living aboard. Local house sits also provide the opportunity to have boat work done when it would be impractical to live aboard,
We do not own a car, so seek house sits where public transport or other practical alternatives are available.
We could not ask for better house sitters.
The house was immaculate and the garden very tidy.
Both dogs were supper keen to spend time with them so obviously looked after very well.
Would have them back any time :-)
Karen and Paul were excellent house sitters. They took great care of our pets making sure that they kept the same routine with them so they felt most comfortable. Karen kept good communication and left the house emasculate and even did some gardening care which was a nice surprise. Happy to recommend them as house sitters.
Karen and Paul were fabulous while I was away my 2 dogs Ron And Reg loved them . The house was left extremely clean and tidy .

Karen and Paul were absolutely fantastic . Friendly, caring, thoughtful and were amazing with our dog Minnie and cat Maxi. Our home and garden were immaculate when we returned. Such a pleasure to welcome them into our home . We are very grateful .
Karen and Paul looked after my 2 staffys for a week while I went on holiday recently and I couldn’t be happier. When I came home the dogs were well cared for, the house was cleaner than when I left and they’d even taken care of some of my struggling houseplants (I try… but it’s survival of the fittest here).

Piece of mind. Karen and Paul were just great to have look after our house and pets whilst we were away.
Particularly as we were out of phone / data range for 6 straight days right in the middle of our holiday. Came back to a home in great shape and the 2 animals were clearly well loved and taken great care of. Thank you so much Karen & Paul. Was just wonderful piece of mind for us. John
Wow! What an absolute pleasure having Karen and Paul look after our pet and house for 5 weeks over Christmas and New Year. As first time users, we really appreciated Karen walking us through the process and were instantly at ease when we first met. Communication was excellent while we were away and we simply adored the photo of pooch under the Christmas tree on Christmas day!

Karen & Paul were absolutely wonderful house & dog sitters. They are a delightful couple who are friendly and communicative. My house was very tidy & clean (no mean feat with the 2 dogs running in & out to the yard) to come home to & the gardens had been weeded & mulched! The dogs were happy & not at all stressed. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I would highly recommend Karen and Paul as housesitters. Excellent communication before, during and even after our house sit. Karen sent through emails and photos of our dogs during their stay and it was reassuring to know they were in such kind and caring hands. When we returned, our home was immaculate and our dogs were thriving.
Karen and Paul were great at staying in touch. They took care of the things that came up during the two and a half months they were here. It was great to come home to the place just as I would want it. Shotze, the cat was clearly well cared for

Karen and Paul are perfect house and petsitters! They left our place cleaner than how we left it. The plants were thriving. Bella, our cat, did not seem disturbed at all when we came back. Karen sent a few messages, pictures and videos to keep us posted on Bella's mood and wellbeing. We only regret not having met Karen and Paul in person as they seem really friendly! We definitely recommend them and would love to have them back.
Karen and Paul took great care of the place. It's always a little worrying having someone in the house that you've only met via Skype but it all went well and I came home to a wonderfully clean house. They took good care of Fuzz, our scaredy cat that is terrified of strangers, and even had him sitting on Paul's lap. Good communications and easy to deal with. We'd be happy to have them again.
I cannot rate Karen and Paul highly enough. They excelled on every level and they will do for you too. They are a quiet and reliable couple who not only left my house cleaner than it was (and it was), they did heaps of additional cleaning like polishing my very tarnished silver! It was all so nice to come home to. My cat is as relaxed as he has ever been and my plants well cared for. If and when I ever need a house sitter again, Karen & Paul will be my first choice. I could not have been more impressed with the standard of house sitting. I have a blind cat and a dog that needs daily medications so it is important to me to have great house sitters and Karen and Paul were certainly that! Karen is also a fabulous gardener! I highly recommend this wonderful couple.
Paul and Karen were absolutely amazing. They took the best care about animals even when thrown in the deep end. From looking after cattle and sheep to taking extra care of one of our cats that had an unexpected surgery the week before they sat for us. I couldn't praise them higher enough for everything they did while they were here. They took care and every aspect of looking after our home,
Karen and Paul have been great house and pet sitters for our two kittens on more than one occasion. Very considerate, friendly and easy to communicate with. We came home to happy cats and a very tidy house, like we'd never left. Can highly recommend.

Karen and Paul are fabulous house sitters, on meeting them we knew our home, Jake and the chickens were in good hands. We came home to a lovely clean house and happy dog and chickens . Great communication and a genuine caring attitude. We would highly recommend them and would love them to housesit for us again.
For anyone wanting absolutely fantastic house/pet sitters Karen and Paul are the folk. They are a great couple and enjoyed getting to know them. I came back to a house and cat that were truly well looked after and I would not hesitate to have them back again and so would Amber my cat.
